JustNick Cut File Store

Focus on me | Valeska Guimaraes September 13, 2021 07:00

Hello JustNick friends,

Valeska here today sharing a new layout with you using one of the released cut files from JustNick Studio.

I used the Shutterbug 2 as the most important part of my layout. I chose papers from Jen Hadfield's Reaching Out collection.

I used 5 different patterned papers in this layout. Four of them to cut out the cameras, I placed them on a white and stitched cardstock. As a base of all of it, I used another patterned paper.

Also I stitched my white cardstock in the center, making a cross and 4 separated spaces on my layout, which used to make different spaces, with cameras and embellishments.

One of the cameras, I made a shaker with lens. I used some 3d foam sticker to give it high and glued acetate on the middle and then the sequins. I really like how it came out.

Every space with the cameras has something special and all of the cut outs were glued with 3d foam sticker.

In the last camera, I took off the lens cut out and placed a photo which was cut with a circle metal die.

I hope you enjoyed this and got inspired to use this cut file and play with these cameras in different sizes and patterned papers. You can also use Shutterbug 1  if you want to use more cameras in your project.

Have a beautiful week and don't forget to see our teams  beautiful projects on Instagram.

See you soon.

So Happy Layout | Yarelys Rodriguez September 1, 2021 07:00

Hey there JustNick friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day! Yarelys here to share with you my new layout.
For this layout I used the Boho Borders 1 cut file, which is coming soon to the store.
To start my layout, I cut the cut file, for this I used different papers from the Pinkfresh Studio collection, The Best Day. Then I painted my background in matching colors.
Now it’s time to build my layout! I glued the cut file and make layers with the journaling bits from the collection, then glued my photo on top.
For my title I used one of the ephemera pieces. To finish my layout I added more ephemera, puffy stickers, cardstock stickers, chipboard flair and enamel dots.
I love how this layout turned out. Hope you all like it and get the inspiration to create beautiful things. Be sure to stop by the JustNick store and check out the new cut files. Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Vacation | Valeska Guimaraes July 14, 2021 07:00

Hello JustNick friends!

Valeska here today with a new 12x12 layout with two beautiful cut files  available in the JustNick store.

Summer is already here and we are so excited about it, are you?

I combined two new designs in this layout.

One of them is the Makin Waves cut file that I use in the whole page and the other one is Hello Summer 2  for my title.

First of all, I made a watercolor background in a white cardstock and let it dry.

Then I cut my waves from another white cardstock and cut the same design again from a patterned paper but in this time I used the offset tool of my Studio Program in 0.2 cm distance. This allowed me to increase the margin of the design and achieve this outline effect in the white cut out.

Then, I glued the white cut out in the patterned paper cut out. With some of the cut outs from the patterned paper that were loose, I added some 3d foam adhesive to create some dimension in my layout, and curled the ends of the cut outs giving it more movement.

I stitched around the circle and started to added some die cuts flowers and others embellishments. I used Sunkissed collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studios and an acrylic sun glasses from Thata Scrapbooking.

Then I used the new Hello Summer 2 to create a title in the middle of my page. I separated the cut file with the release compound path tool in my Studio Program and made two cuts from it. One of them I cut from an offset from a vellum paper and the other one, I cut the title from a stripe patterned paper.

Hope you enjoy and create beautiful projects with the new JustNick summer designs available in the store. Every week there are new cut files for you to be inspired by.

Have a wonderful week.

HELLO SUMMER | Nathalie DeSousa July 10, 2021 07:00

Hello there, and Happy Weekend!

Nathalie here to bring you a bit more of inspiration using JustNick Studio's cut files.   Our focus this week is all in the glorious Summer Days, so I combined two of designs in this page...

Nothing says Summer like a nice sunny day!  I started by cutting just the sun section of the SOAK UP THE SUN cut file from white cardstock.   A bit of foam adhesive -when backing the cut outs with patterned paper - creates that lovely shadow/dimension in the page.   I added a bit of ink blending to the background to create the nice fluffy clouds.

I am using Carta Bella's Summer collection for this page.  So, I added a few papers and florals behind the photos.  Then used the new HELLO SUMMER cut file to create the title for the page.  I made sure to separate the cut file, so I could create an offset and the title words.

I added a few extra embellishments next to the title, then followed with a few drops of gold ink.

I hope this inspires you to check the newest designs available at the shop!  There is always new cut files that are sure to spark your next project in the JustNick Studio shop.

Summer State of Mind by Sophie Delorme July 6, 2021 07:00

Hello crafty friends!

It’s Sophie on the blog today to share a colorful summer layout !

I used the Wavy Background cut file as a stencil !

I cut it and put it on a thick white cardstock. I used yellow, red and blue Distress Oxide inks and applied them with my ink blending tool on the cut file.

I removed the cut file, and added a little bit of water on the background to water down  the inks and add colorful splatters.

I used the beautiful Echo Park Paper “A Slice of Summer” collection for this page.

I centered two photos of my little Sabrina on my background, adding tissue papers and adhesive foam behind them.

I created a floral cluster on the bottom right corner of the photos, and put a chipboard sticker on the top left.

I used a piece of patterned paper for my title, that I cut and stitched on a piece of velum and centered it above the two photos.

I hand wrote my journaling and stamped the date.

As the finishing touch, I scattered beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Jewels around the page.

Here are more close-ups.

I am so happy of how it turned out ! This was seriously easy to create ! Why don’t you try using a cut file as a stencil for your next layout ?

Thank you for stopping by,

I will see you again soon !

YOU & ME | Nathalie DeSousa June 13, 2021 07:00

Hello everyone!

Nathalie here with a new layout using Just Nick Studio's gorgeous cut files.  I am so happy to be back for a new term with this team, and working with Nicole's designs and a new amazing group of ladies.  Today, I wanted to use some of the new designs  to create a simple and clean design.

I used the new  PRETTY SWAG cut file to create the large floral die cuts from white cardstock.  These were three times at different sizes, so that they form  the large swag from the top to bottom of the page.

I combined papers from Pinkfresh Studio's latest collections to create my page, and decided to add a few more pieces to the clusters -as a way to bulk them up-.  For this, I used the STEMS 4 cut file to cut a few extra leaves and branches and glued them around the large floral cluster.

To finish the page, I added a simple title and a few gems around the clusters  just to add a pop of shine!

Remember to check all the new designs that are available in the shop.  You will love all that Nicole is adding to Just Nick Studio shop.

Special Bond | Sophie Delorme June 3, 2021 07:00

Hello JustNick friends!

It’s Sophie on the blog today with a new layout to share:

I used a beautiful cut file from the store named “Leafy Floral”:

As you can see it is a background cut file but I decided to use it in pieces.

I started my layout with a white cardstock as my base. I applied a little bit of aqua watercolor on it. Then, I teared three strips of patterned papers from the lovely Carta Bella Paper “Oh Happy Day” collection to create 3 horizontal lines, on which I did a zig zag stitch with white thread.

I used a 3x4” card for my journaling that I placed between the two black and white photos of me and my sweet Sabrina.

At the base of the photos, I created a big floral cluster. That’s where I used numerous leaves that I cut out of the beautiful cut file. I adhered only the base of them to create more dimension. I love that the watercolor background shows softly behind the leaves.

I added my title and scattered some Nuvo Drops around the page as the finishing touch.

Here are more close-ups.

How I like the result!

Don’t hesitate to cut into your cut files or modify them to fit with your design.

I hope this has give you new ideas to try!

Thank you for stopping by, I wish you a great crafty day!

Dream Big by Sophie Delorme April 28, 2021 07:00

Hey friends !

It’s Sophie on the blog today with a new layout to share !

It’s Spring time and it is the theme of my page !

I used the new Spring Floral 1 and Spring Floral 2 cut files.

I decided to place them as three flower bouquets hanging down above my photo.

I cut them on white cardstock and backed them with the beautiful Echo Park Paper collection named “Salutation no.1”

I used a thick white cardstock as my base and played with watercolors to create a little green and blue mixed media background beneath were I planned to place my photos. I also added many tiny colored splatters that matched my color scheme.

I printed my photos in black and white. They are cute moments between Sabrina and our dog Fiona playing together during the pandemic lockdown. I added adhesive foam behind my photo and a strip of blue patterned paper to ground it.

I created a little floral cluster on the right lower side of the photos as a recall from the bouquets, and added a journaling card for my handwritten journaling.

I decorated the three bouquets with flowers and leaves die cuts from the same Echo Park collection and punched three bows out of patterned paper placed at the base of each bouquet.

Finally, I scattered many beautiful Pinkfresh Studio Crystal Mix as the final touch.

Here are more close-ups:

I looove this Spring feel so much !

I hope you felt inspired by this layout and those gorgeous cut files ! Check out the store for many more beautiful cut file ideas and inspiration !

Beautiful | Anna Blades March 19, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you sharing a new layout. Today, I’m using one of the new cut files called Floral Geode. It’s so beautiful and I think is very versatile too.

For my background I chose a gradient patterned paper from Pinkfresh Studio, with peach and pink tones. Then, I made splatters with white and pink paint.  I cut the Floral Geode cut file from white cardstock because I wanted it to stand out against the pink background.

I fussy cut some flowers from another paper from the same collection and put them around the cut file to create a kind of wreath.

I placed my picture in the center of the page, inside the cut file, letting some of the flowers overlap on the photo.

For my title, I used a gold foil alphabet thicker with the word “beautiful”. Then, I added some die cuts and puffy stickers to embellish my page.

Finally, I scattered some enamel dots from Felicity Jane Studio around the wreath, emphasizing the paint splatters. I love the spring look of this layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you like this page and it gives you some inspiration. Don’t forget to visit the store every week for new cut files!

See you!

Let your light shine | Anna Blades March 2, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you with a new layout featuring two beautiful Nicole’s designs. For today’s project I decided to create a soft and bright layout using two different cut files: Let your light shine and Fancy florals (coming soon).

Here are the cut files that I used:

I cut the title from white cardstock and use foam dots to give it more dimension. I love how the shadows make it stand out. Also, I used a gold metallic pen to highlight some parts of the letters. As you can see, my picture fits perfectly between the L and the H.

Then, I cut one of the fancy florals two times from white cardstock. And I backed it with vellum to add a soft touch. I placed one below the title and the other one in the upper right corner of the photo, on top of some layers.

Finally, I scattered a lot of gold stars and enamel dots around the design. I think it looks a little bit magical.  The idea of using this title was because of the lightbulb curtain behind my girls.

To create the layout, I used Felicity Jane papers and embellishments. The enamel dots are from Lora Bailora.

I love how it turned out! Now is hanging on the wall of my child’s bedroom. Thank you so much for stopping by today.

See you soon with a new layout and amazing cut files!

This is me | Anna Blades February 19, 2021 07:00

Hi JustNick friends!

Anna here with you today with a new layout. For today’s project, I’ve used two of the new cut files as die cuts. Because sometimes you don’t have enough die cuts. So, this way, you can create them in any size and color you want.

For my background, I used solid mint cardstock from Felicity Jane Studio. All the design is placed basically in the lower-left corner. First, I made a polka dot background with a stencil and distress oxide ink.

Then, I cut the Leaf Sprig cut file several times from white cardstock. I also cut the Pretty Swag cut file from white cardstock too.

Once I have framed the picture with a piece of patterned paper, I embellished it placing the cut files around it. Since the cut files are white, they make a contrast with the background. And you can see the polka dots peeking through the leaves.

I’ve used a chipboard bit as my title, and some more die cuts to embellish the photo. I also created a little cluster in the upper right corner. I cut a triangle from a striped paper and put another Leaf Spring cut file coming out from behind.

I completed the cluster with the phrase “so sweet” and two more hearts.

Lately, I’m enjoying making very clean and simple pages. Do you like this type of layout? I hope you can find some inspiration in them. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don’t forget to visit the shop to see the new cut files every week!

Have a wonderful weekend!
