Happy Friday!  It's Jaclyn here today, to round out the last of the summer-y themed projects on the blog this week.

Summer for me and my kiddos means countless hours at the local community pool, so it was an obvious choice for me to scrap some of those memories.  I've been eyeing the Marquee Alpha for awhile.  Once I saw Nicole's page that she shared on the blog on Monday, I knew I'd need to give it a go!

It was just the pop I needed to draw some serious attention to my title, amongst a page with lots of photos and lots of journaling.

Isn't the detail in this font amazing?  Even when it's sized down to just an inch and a quarter high, as I've done for my page title, it still makes a strong impact on the page.

To add even more dimension to these fun title letters I cut one set of each letter from my pattern paper and three additional sets of the title letters from kraft cardstock.  Adhering each of the three kraft layers on top of one another and finishing off each letter with the patterned paper version creates lots of dimension.  In fact, the letters almost feel and look as if they are chipboard, which in this case, coordinated perfectly with the other chipboard elements on the page.

I know you have lots of summer photos and memories to capture! So, what are you waiting for?!  Hop on over to the Just Nick store and show us what you make with them!

Testing out Marquee letters! August 3, 2015 10:42

Last week, we loaded the Marquee Alphas to the store and I thought I would share a quick page I made using them today!

I simply enlarged the letters and added various enamel dots to most of the centers for some whimsy!

I used the stitched circle along the bottom of my page, and filled in the empty spaces with watercolor paints.

That's it for me today! This week the rest of the DT will be sharing projects all related to summer! Make sure you stop by to see them!
