JustNick Cut File Store
Adventures | Monique Liedtke May 29, 2020 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here today with my very last blog post for JustNick. I've had so much fun during my time on the team and I really loved working with Nicole's amazing cut files! For today I used the beautiful "Floral Ring 3" cut file to create this fun spring layout of my daughter and our puppy:
This is the cut file I used: Floral Ring 3
Isn't this cut file beautiful?! I wanted to scrap these spring photos and thought this cut file was just perfect! I also use Crate Paper's Magical Forest collection with it's soft colors and fun designs:
I love how delicate the flowers and stems of the cut file are and I love that there are multiple circles:
Using the sewing machine I sewed over the circles three times for some extra texture. I just love the effect!
In the middle of the circle I placed two clusters with a small photo each and some die-cuts & stickers and connected these two clusters with another cluster right in the middle of the circle:
The cluster at the top:
The cluster in the middle of the circle:
The cluster at the bottom of the circle:
For the finishing touch I decided to add a few Nuvo drops instead of paint drops (what I normally do). I really love these Nuvo drops and don't understand I didn't use them before!
This was it. Hope you like it! Thank you so much for all your love the last two years! I've such a great time and hope to see you all again on Instagram or Facebook. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store to grab this cut file or one of the many others.
Home Sweet Home | Monique Liedtke May 2, 2020 07:00
And this is the cut file I used:
The "Home Sweet Home" cut file contains many more files than just the phrase I used, but for my layout I only needed the Home Sweet Home phrase.
I prepared my background by coloring the white cardstock with four colors of Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. I machine stitched the "Home Sweet Home" phrase on top and embellished with lots of die-cuts and stickers.
I selected two small Polaroid photos of my youngest with our puppy and matted these with patterned paper. These photos were added above the Home Sweet Home cut file and in the bottom corners I adhered some fussy cut flowers and a super cute little foam rainbow.
Above and below the photos I adhered another foam phrase and a word sticker (from Pretty Little Studio) and above the photos I wrote a little bit of journaling.
In between the letters I added a few stickers and cute die-cuts, like this doggie:
Or this cup with flowers:
And this home baked pie:
All of these die-cuts were very appropriate for a Home Sweet Home layout I thought!
When my page was almost done I decided I wanted the orange/fuchsia patterned paper behind my white cardstock background. So I cut off a strip of approx. 1 cm on each of the four sides and glued the cardstock on top of the patterned paper. Then I machine stitched around the edges.
Next I stamped the word "Today" in the bottom left corner and a few paw prints below the dog die-cut and next to my left photo. The silver ink drops came last! And I was done! Hope you like it!
Did you know that we have a NSD sale going on from May 1-3, 2020? You can get this Home Sweet Home cut file with 50% off and many more of course. Wishing you a happy weekend and happy shopping!
Spring | Monique Liedtke April 20, 2020 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here and I'm so happy it's my turn on the blog today and that I get to share my latest layout with you. I created a fun and colorful page with one of the new Easter cut files called "Easter Egg Background" and some Doodlebug goodies.
and this is the cut file I used:
What I love about this cut file is that it's filled with many wonderful flowers which I backed with 9 or 10 different patterned papers. I used the 6" x 6" double sided paper pad from Doodlebug's Simply Spring collection for this and love the result.
Look how cool these papers look behind this cut file! When I was finished adhering all the different papers behind the cut file I chose a tangerine colored cardstock paper for the background and only then did I decide on which photos & embellishments to use.
Obviously the photo(s) had to be from Easter or right before or after Easter. These photos were taken the day before Easter, when my bff (in the front of the photo) came over for a quick coffee. We hadn't seen each other for almost 5 weeks, which is quite a long time for us, and we really needed to catch up. So, because of the Corona virus, we sat outside on my garden wall, with one and a half meter between us, drinking coffee and talking a lot. Because of the beautiful weather (and the magnificent blooming tree in my front garden) we had a great time (although the situation remained really surreal).
Choosing embellishments wasn't very hard as Doodlebug's collection come with o many die-cuts and stickers, and look at the awesome sheep!
Next I wrote my journaling around the edge of the Easter egg and machine stitched around the edges of the background paper and here and there on my layout.
I really love the result. This cut file is so super cute and just perfect for this Spring collection from Doodlebug. Make sure to hop over to the store to grab this cut file or one of the many many others!
Thank you so much for stopping by to have a look at what I made. Have a great week and please stay safe!
Pretty | Monique Liedtke April 11, 2020 07:00
And this is the cut file I used:
Don't you agree it's awesome?! I adore it! I decided to cut this cut file from a sheet of white cardstock and leave it as it is. For the background of I used a sheet of "mustard" colored paper with white horizontal stripes and I think the stem with the flowers look great on top of this.
This time I chose to use two small (Polaroid) photos, sized 6 cm x 9 cm and placed these on the right side of the stem of the flower.
On the left side of the stem I added a few die-cuts, like the girl die-cut, because she looks a bit like my daughter. At the bottom of the stem I adhered a pretty striped bow.
Below the photos I wrote a few lines of journaling and above the photos I added the title, a few extra embellishments and three fabric flags at the top of the page.
Of course I added a bit of machine stitching and a few drops of white paint. I love how this turned out.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you and yours are all well & safe and that maybe you'll have some time to yourself to scrap! For now I wish you a very happy Easter!
My Dream | Monique Liedtke March 17, 2020 07:00
Hi JustNick friends! It's Monique here sharing a layout I made with this super cute "Floral Umbrella" cut file. When Echo Park's collection "Alice In Wonderland" was released I was one of the first to buy it. But when it arrived I didn't know what to use it for and it ended it up in my pile of scrapbook papers. This cut file made me think of that collection straight away, so I looked for some fun photos and got started. Here's what I made:
Isn't this cut file just perfect?!!
I enlarged the cut file a little and adhered lots of different patterned papers behind it:
I just love how this looks already! Now the fun part started! Don't get me wrong, I love backing cut files as well, I just love building my page more. I contemplated whether or not I shoud add watercolor paint behind the umbrella, but decided against it and to go with a clean white backgroud with only a couple of paint drops.
The place of the photo strip was easy, that had to come left of the umbrella shaft with a journaling card on the right. Next I only had to add some die-cuts and stickers. When I was done I decided to add a blue cardstock behind my page to add a bit more color.
Here are a few close-ups:
Of course I machine stitched around my page, on the cut file and a bit here and there on my layout.
Lots of fabulous new cut files are added to the JustNick Studio Store! Don't forget to check them all out!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful week.
I Love You Always | Monique Liedtke March 2, 2020 07:00
Hi friends! It's Monique here sharing another heart layout with my Spaniel puppy as the subject of my love. The cut file I used for this page is called "Doodle Floral Heart Outline", my new favorite cut file!
This is the cut file I used, isn't it a beauty?!
Once again I used Doodlebug Design's "Love Notes" collection for my layout. I just adore the bright & happy colors and designs.
What I love about this cut file is the possibility to use lots of different papers to fill all the little spaces.
I used the 6" x 6" paper pad to fill all the flowers, but a 12" x 12" sheet to back the entire heart. I love the effect this gives, with the left half of the heart empty of any designs.
I just love stitching on all of my projects, so that's what I did here as well.
I used little enamel hearts to fill all the centres of the flowers.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to have a look at my page.
I HEART YOU | Monique Liedtke February 22, 2020 07:00
Hi friends, it's Monique here sharing this colorful layout using the super fantastic Radiating Background cut file! As soon as I saw this cut file I saw the finished layout in my head. I had just bought the new Doodlebug Design Love Notes collection and this cut file was so perfect for it! When it comes to Doodlebug I can never decide which papers I should use as I just adore them all. With this cut file I can use them all!! Here's what I made:
And this is the Radiating Background cut file:
Isn't this cut file just perfect to use all those papers you love so much and that you don't have to choose between them? I adore it! Here are a few close-ups of some of the details of my page:
The papers glued behind the cut file all came from the 6"x 6" inch Doodlebug Love Notes paper pad and because all papers are double-sided I only needed 9 instead of 18 of the 6" x 6"sheets.
I thought about glue-ing different pieces of paper behind all the empty spaces in the cut file but decided against it, as I thought that would be too much of a good thing. I already used 18 different designs as it is.
I love the tiny enamel hearts in this collection and used them in the banner and in some of the flowers.
I love stitching on my pages,so that's what I did here as well. I stitched around the entire page and on some of the elements on my page, like on the "Hugs & Kisses" die-cut.
I love how easy it was to put this page together and I'm so happy with the result. Hope you like it too!
Can't wait to see what you will do with this cut file. Don't forget to share your project on our facebook page or on Instagram using the #justnickstudio.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to have a look at my project! Wishing you a happy and crafty weekend.
Heart Ring | Monique Liedtke February 10, 2020 07:00
Hi everyone! It's Monique here on the blog today sharing a "hearts" layout. For two weeks we're sharing our hearts/love layouts on the blog and for my project I chose the brand new "Heart Ring" cut file.
This is the cut file I used (I'll add the link to the cut file in the store later):
I love using background cut files on my pages as they are so very versatile! This time I chose to cut the file from a sheet of patterned paper and also filled some of the open hearts with patterned paper.
I used Pebbles "Loves Me" collection, which I totally adore. Look at all those super cute animals!
Before I adhered the cut file I stamped a light chevron pattern on my white cardstock background paper using a stamp from Prima Marketing.
When my page was almost done I machine stitched both parts of the heart ring cut file as well as in some random places.
I couldn't resist adding a few bits and pieces from Doodlebug Design like the red matte sprinkles, the piece of "love" washi tape and the enamel rainbow. The word sticker at the bottom of the photo is from Crate Paper.
Thank you so much for stopping by to check out all the inspiration on our blog. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store to see all the other awesome cut files!
Wishing you a wonderful week!
Hello You're Wonderful | Monique Liedtke January 21, 2020 07:00
This is the Funky Mandala cut file:
I cut the Funky Mandala from smooth white cardstock and adhered different pieces of patterned paper behind each part and spattered some pink paint drops on it. I put the mandala aside to let it dry and proceeded to color the white background cardstock with some light blue watercolor paint and to add some spatter here as well. I cut 1.5 cm off the right and top sides and adhered the background paper on a sheet of dark blue patterned paper. Now I fastened my "Funky Mandala" on the background and added my photo and lots of fun embellishments:
Of course I finished my page by adding machine stitching along the edges of my page, as well as some extra stitching here and there. I also stamped the date and some other fun words.
I love fussy cutting and the papers in this Maggie Holmes collection were just perfect for this. I hand-cut the word "cute", the flowers with the leaves and some of the birds.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! See you next time!
This Year | Monique Liedtke January 2, 2020 07:00
Hi everyone! It's Monique here wishing you all a wonderful 2020! I hope you had a fabulous New Year's Eve! Today I'm sharing a layout with my resolutions for the new year. I have to admit that I tend to forget my resolutions pretty quickly, but I do like to make them nonetheless.
Here's the layout I created, using the "Say What" and "This Year" cut files:
These are the cut files I used: "Say What" and "This Year" (will be added to the store soon!), both of which I cut from a sheet of white cardstock:
I'm a huge fan of Doodlebug Design's products so I chose a mix of their collections to create this page. My resolutions were typed in Word and then printed on five different pieces of patterned paper (Doodlebug's Petite Print). Next I cut them in the right shape using my Silhouette Cameo.
Before adhering the word bubbles cut file I added some yellow paint to my white cardstock background (sprayed this on a piece of plastic packaging and wiped it over my background paper).
As Doodlbug's papers are already so colorful I decided to leave the cut files white and use a black & white photo. I matted the photo on two pieces of patterned paper and created a little cluster on the left side:
On the right side of the photo I wrote a little more about my resolutions:
I also added a few stickers here and there and after adding the compulsory machine stitching I considered my layout done!
Hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by on this second day of the year. Don't forget to check out the JustNick store for these and many more fabulous cut files!
JOY | Monique Liedtke December 16, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here and I'm so happy to be here! I hope you enjoyed our 12 Days of Giveaways last week and that you managed to grab all 12 free cut files! I never tire of Christmas cut files and chose for today's blog post an oldie but a goodie: the Holly Ring.
Here's what I created:
And this is the cut file I used: Holly Ring
Isn't this cut file fun? I used the Holly Jolly collection from My Mind's Eye and cut the Holly Ring from one of the patterned papers. I just love circle cut files and this one with all the berries I find really cute! Except for the photo I just added lots of die-cuts, stickers and chipboards and placed these on and around the ring:
I used one of the journaling cards to add some hand written journaling and added a chipboard title on top of the card:
After I added some machine stitching and paint drops the layout was finished. Love how this turned out. Hope you like it too!

Thankful for Friends | Monique Liedtke November 18, 2019 07:00
Hello everyone! It's Monique here sharing my latest "Thankful" layout. I chose to use the travel notebook cut file "TN Thankful" for my layout and love how the two parts look on my page. Here's what I made:
And this is the cut file I used "TN Thankful":
This week and last week as well, the team is creating "Thankful" projects and I decided to scrap a layout about my friends. I'm so very grateful to have them in my life and I realised that they don't feature enough in my pages.
Apart from the "TN Thankful" cut file I used the Pretty Little Studio collections "Indian Summer" and "Bohemian Dreams".
Both cut files were cut from sheets of patterned paper and I backed the "Thankful" file with some yellow patterned paper as well.
Then I placed them both on the left side of my photo, one partly on top of the other. With a white pen I doodled a little on the cut file with the leaves and I added a little bit of machine stitching on both cut files:
The rest of the layout I embellished with bits and pieces of the Pretty Little Studio collections:
Thank you so much for visiting our blog and don't forget to check out the JustNick store for this cut file and many more!
Merry Xmas | Monique Liedtke November 9, 2019 07:00
Hello friends! It's Monique here today sharing an early Christmas layout. Although it's a little early to scrap Christmas layouts I just couldn't help myself. The first Christmas collections have arrived at my doorstep and I wanted nothing more than use them! So here's my first Xmas layout of the year! I used JustNick's "Radiate" cut file for this page. It's not one of the new cut files, but so perfect when you want to use many different papers.
This is the "Radiate" cut file I used:
I used the new Glitter & Ice collection from Pretty Little Studio for my page.
Here's how I created my page: using my Silhouette Cameo I cut the "Radiate" circle from a sheet of plain white cardstock and to cut the little parts for the inside of the cut file I released the compound path, deleted the outer and inner circle and selected approx. 6 of the pieces and restored the compound path. This I repeated 4 times and then the screen looked like this:
I selected four patterned papers from the Glitter & Ice collection and cut four 6"x 6" squares. I placed these on my sticky mat and cut all the inner pieces in one go. I adhered the white "Radiate" circle on a sheet of red cardstock and glued all the little parts randomly inside.
Next I arranged my three (matted) photos on the circle and embellished my page with several bits and pieces from the Glitter & Ice collection.
With a bit of machine stitching and ink splattering my page was done! Hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by and wishing you a fabulous weekend!
Feels Like Fall | Monique Liedtke October 25, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here today sharing a Fall layout using the beautiful new "Leaf Circle Background" cut file and the Truly Grateful collection from Pink Paislee/Paige Evans, combined with a few sheets from her Horizon collection. This cut file is so perfect for a Fall layout, when I saw it, I just had to use it! Here's what I made:
And this is the "Leaf Circle Background" cut file I used:
I cut the leaf circle from the multicolored sheet (Horizon, paper 3) and love the result, with all the leaves in different colors! Just like Fall, right?!
Except for the "Leaf Circle Background" cut file I used two other cut files: the "Feels Like Fall" cut file:
and the "Fall Leaves" cut file:
Fall is my favorite season and every year I'm so happy when it finally arrives. It goes without saying that I love all the Fall cut files and all the Fall scrapbook collections! Here are a few close-ups of my page:
To every cluster of leaves in the circle I added a few more embellishments and also some extra leaves. Some of the leaves I cut with my Silhouette and some of them are from the ephemera package from the Truly Grateful collection. I love all the die-cuts, cardstock stickers and puffy Thickers belonging to the Paige Evans collections and used many of them on my page!
I machine stitched a few of the leaves but not all of them as I really like it when they curl up a little. It gives a bit more depth to the page.
I used two photos of my daughter, reading her book in the park. She's a huge fan of reading and always has one or two books with her, wherever she goes.
I hope I inspired you to scrap your Fall photos! So if you're looking for some fun Fall cut files as well you can find them in the JustNick store!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful weekend with lots of crafting!
Super Cute | Monique Liedtke October 10, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here today sharing one of my first layouts featuring my cute English Cocker Spaniel puppy. I got her two weeks ago when she was only 8 weeks old and I just can't stop taking her photo. As I totally adore her I wanted to use a cut file with hearts and found this circle filled with hearts cut file called "Heart is Full Background" and thought it was perfect!
This is the page I created:
And this is the "Heart is Full Background" cut file I used:
As we got her in the beginning of the Fall I decided to use a Fall collection to scrap her photo. Another reason I wanted to use a Fall collection is the color; our puppy is an orange roan, so Fall colors really! The collection I used is "Celebrate Autumn" by Echo Park.
Here are a few close-ups of my layout, I love all the chipboards in this collection, like this little fox:
As the background is kind of "busy", I wanted a title that stood out and used these large black foam letter Thickers.
My puppy's name is "Ginny" and I used letter stickers from Doodlebug Design to add her name to the layout:
The enamel hearts and dots I used to fill lots of the white spaces are from Lily Bee Design.
Star Player | Monique Liedtke September 21, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here today sharing a layout about my soccer playing son. Last season his team became champion, and the photos of that accomplishment had to be scrapped of course. I used the "Star Cluster" cut file as my son and his team mates were the stars of the season!
Here's the layout I created:
and this is the "Star Cluster" cut file I used:
For this cut file I decided to use a strip of three small photos rather than one large photo and I really love the result.
The papers and embellishments I used are Doodlebug's "French Kiss" collection. I love the red, blue and pink color combination!
Here are a few close-ups:
To add a bit of extra color to my page, I adhered little enamel hearts to the centre of all stars.
I remember when I just started scrapbooking I almost never added journaling to my layouts. Looking through my albums from that early period I really regret that. So now I make sure to always add a bit of journaling, whether it's at the front of my layout or at the back. It adds so much and it's so easy to do.
And here's already the last close-up:
This is it. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Don't forget to check out all the awesome cut files Nicole has in her JustNick store! and if you use one of them don't forget to show us what you created on either our facebook page or on Instagram using #JustNickStudio.
Explore | Monique September 4, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends, it's Monique here and I'm so excited that I get to share my latest layout with you. This week we're using "words" from the JustNick store on our projects and I knew straight away which word I wanted to use. I just love those large words where you can fill the separate letters with various patterned papers, so I chose the word "explore", which was added to the store only last month. This cut file fitted the vacation photos I wanted to scrap perfectly!
Here's the layout I created:
My husband and oldest son went to Spain on a one week vacation, just the two of them and had a great time together. When I waved them goodbye I made them promise to take some photos for me to scrap and that's what they did!
And this is the cut file I used: "Explore"
Apart from this cut file I also used the "Summer" cut file:
The word "summer" at the bottom was just perfect to place over the word "Explore".
One of the dilemmas I have when using a large word cut file, is what size photos to use and where to place them. In this case I decided one a vertical photo strip with three small photos. I really love how this turned out!
To scrap my page I used the new "I Heart Travel" collection from Doodlebug Design I had just bought. I really love how I was able to use all the collection's fun patterned papers to fill the letters.
Here are a few close-ups of my layout:
How I love these large word cut files! I hope I've been able to inspire you to give them a try too, if you haven't already done that. Check them out in the JustNick store here.
Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today! Wishing you happy scrapping!
Souper! | Monique Liedtke August 22, 2019 07:00
I have wanted to scrap this photo of my son for ages! At the time he worked with Domino's Pizza and this particular evening he delivered a few pizzas at our place. I thought the beach umbrellas perfectly resembled sliced pizzas and so I decided to use this cut file for the background of my layout. I really love the result! Here's what I created:
And this is the Beach Umbrella Background cut file (a.k.a. sliced pizza background):
Don't you agree that the beach umbrellas resemble sliced pizzas?!
Except for this cut file, I also used Doodlebug's "So Much Pun" collection to scrap my photo.
Here are a few close-ups:
I cut the cut file from Doodlebug's Tangerine cardstock and because of the bright color of this cardstock I didn't need a whole lot of patterned paper for the rest of my layout. In the end I matted the photo on two small pieces of patterned paper, added a 4" x 6" card and a few die-cuts & stickers, a strip of typed journaling and some machine stitching and my page was done.
I'm a huge fan of background cut files and can see myself using this one for a few other layouts as well. Don't forget to check it out in the JustNick store! In the store you can find quite a few other fun background cut files as well!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!
First Day of Summer | Monique Liedtke August 5, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! This week the team is sharing summer layouts and here's the one I created. I used the brand new "Flower Bud Background" cut file and the "Henley" collection from Felicity Jane.
The photo was taken on the very first day of summer. It was a beautiful day here in the Netherlands and my daughter and I decided not to waste this opportunity to grab an Frappucino and sit on a sunny terrace in the market square while enjoying the sunshine and do some "people watching".
This is the cut file I used: "Flower Bud Background". I sized it to 8" x 8", flipped it horizontally so the most buds are on the right side and placed it on my background at a bit of an angle:
I cut off the stems with buds that were behind my photo and adhered these at other places on my page. I also turned them around so I ended up with two different colors:
Behind the cut file I adhered a piece of 8" x 8" white cardstock, also at a little angle, which is obvious in this photo:
After adhering the photo, die-cuts and whashi elements I added a little machine stitching, hand journaling and a few drops of silver colored Mr. Huey's spray ink.
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my layout. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store. There are so many awesome cut files for your summer layouts to choose from! Don't forget to share yous projects with us on our facebook page or on Instagram using the hashtag #justnickstudio.
YOLO | Monique Liedtke July 17, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick fans, welcome to the blog! For today's blog post I've created a summer layout using the new "Sunshade Background" cut file and the "Smile" file. I love all the cut files in the JustNick store and always find it hard to choose which ones to use for my next project.
A couple of years ago (was it really already 5 years ago?!) the ice bucket challenge was all the rage and of course my kids had to join in. I didn't mind the wet clothes as I got some fun photos out of it! Here's the layout I created:
I've used the "Oh Summertime" collection from Pebbles which is just perfect for all summer photos and those sweet little boys die-cuts were just what I needed for my layout.
These are the cut files I used:
I started by cutting the Sunshade Background cut file from a sheet of yellow cardstock, measuring a little larger than 11"x 11". This yellow background sun I matted on the Pebbles "Oh Summertime" sheet (the sheet with the text). Behind this came first a sheet of white cardstock and then another sheet of patterned paper: the Pebbles Fresh Picked" sheet (red checkered). For some added texture I machine stitched all the sun rays.
I printed three small photos and adhered two in the bottom left corner and one in the top right corner. The rainbow colored landing strip from one of the sheets of patterned paper I used to fill in the sun rays.
The word "Love", which I cut from the "Smile" cut file, I sprayed with a "citron" color shine spray ink and adhered it partly over the bottom of the top photo:
I added a few die-cuts, stickers and enamel dots:
Last but not least I wrote the journaling in the sun beans and stamped the date and I was done!
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my project. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store. There are so many fun cut files you can use for your vacation photos!
Wishing you happy scrapping!
Life is Amazing | Monique Liedtke July 4, 2019 07:00
Hello friends! It's Monique here today and I'm so grateful to be back on the team for another term! This week we're all doing "about me" projects and here's the layout I created. I used the beautiful "Beautiful Bouquet" and "Life is Amazing" cut files and Pink Paislee's Horizon collection.
And these are the cut files I used: "Beautiful Bouquet"
And "Life is Amazing":
Aren't they just perfect?!
In this layout I haven't included a whole lot of journaling about me as I did a similar layout last year, but on the card it says that I love Fall, warm sweaters, scarfs and jeans, as well as weekends away with friends, scrapping and reading and lots more. As this photo was taken while being away with a few of my best friends for a couple of days, doing nothing but scrapping, reading, watching movies and not much else (well maybe talking, shopping, eating and drinking lots of coffee as well, lol) this page makes a lot of sense.
What I also adore are bright colors! and that's why I chose this colorful Horizon collection by Paige Evans. Here are a few more close-ups:
The title was cut from a piece of white cardstock and then sprayed with color mist from Kaisercraft called "Candy". It glitters a bit but that is hard to see in the photo.
I really love how this turned out, I think this page perfectly captures who I am right now.
If, like me, you love background cut files too then don't forget to check them out in the store! There are so many fun ones to be found there.
And if you want to see the "about me" page from last year, then you click this link HERE.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you happy scrapping and a wonderful day!
Cool | Monique Liedtke June 20, 2019 07:00
Hi everyone, welcome to the blog! It's Monique here today sharing a layout where I used the beautiful Blossoms cut file from the JustNick Store and the Rainbow Roux collection from Jillibean Soup. Here's what I made:
And this is the Blossoms cut file I used:
For my background I decided to use some of the Color Burst powders I had just bought. The powders come in little bottles and you need to sprinkle only a very small amount of powder on your paper and then add lots of water and then you get this result. Fun right?!
Next I placed the Blossoms cut file on top and colored the inside of the blossoms using a little watercolor paint.
I used a square photo of my 3 kids and placed this on top of the cut file. With a cluster of embellishments on the right side and some in the left top corner my page was nearly done.
With a few text stickers and die-cuts and a strip of patterned paper on the right side of my layout I was more or less done. It did, however, need some inevitable machine stitching.
This is it! Hope you like it!
Celebrate | Monique Liedtke June 3, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique with you today. Last week my son and husband were celebrating their respective birthdays and I decided to scrap some of the photos I took straight away. The "Confetti Wishes" collection from Pink Paislee had just arrived on my doorstep and was still lying on my desk so all I had to do was print the photos and choose one of the many awesome cut files from the JustNick store. As I love to use background cut files I concentrated on those and in the end decided on the "Heart is Full Background" cut file.
This is the layout I made:
and this is the "Heart is Full Background" cut file I used. Isn't is awesome?!
When I had my Silhouette ready to start cutting this cut file I was in doubt whether to cut it from white cardstock and fill all the hearts separately with patterned paper or cut it from a multi colored paper. I decided on this last option and added two large squares of patterned paper behind the cut file so the background wouldn't be so terribly white. I really love how this turned out.
Here are a few close-ups:
I love adding a bit of journaling, but often forget about it. For this layout I remembered to leave a bit of room for my text, which I had already typed and printed beforehand.
There are so many lovely die-cuts in this Pink Paislee collection but I didn't want to cover up the entire cut file and made sure not to add too many.
Like always I wanted to add a bit of stitching to my page and used my sewing machine to stitch the outer circle of the cut file.
Although this page has a lot of "pinks" in it for a boys layout I'm very happy with the result.
Wishing you a wonderful and creative week!
March | Monique Liedtke May 16, 2019 07:00
Hi everyone! I'm so happy to be here again, sharing another layout created with a couple of JustNick's fabulous cut files. For today's layout I used one of the brand new cut files: "Sunflower" and because this week's theme at JustNick is "words" I also chose a word from the "Months Script" cut file. I just had a few of my recent spring photos printed and the new sunflower cut file came in so handy! Here's what I made:
I decided to use an older scrapbook collection from my huge stash and cut the sunflower from one of the multicolored sheets of the Fancy Free collection from Pink Paislee/Paige Evans and love how it looks! Because the cut sunflower is so colorful, the layout doesn't need a lot of embellishing.
This is the "Sunflower" cut file I used:
Next I selected the word "March" from the "Months Script" cut file and before cutting it I outlined it. I cut the word "March" from a piece of yellow cardstock (Doodlebug) and its outline from a piece of white cardstock (AC). I adhered the yellow word on top of the white outline and voilà, my title!
This is the "Months Script" cut file the word "March" came from:
Before adhering the sunflower and the photos on the white cardstock background I colored the cardstock behind the sunflower yellow using a blender brush and a yellow ink pad and added a few drops of color mist.
This is it! A quick and easy layout! Hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Don't forget to visit the JustNick store to check out the new May cut files or any other cut file!
ALL OF ME LOVES ALL OF YOU | MONIQUE LIEDTKE May 8, 2019 07:00
Hi everyone! It's Monique here sharing another of my layouts created for JustNick. For today's layout I used one of the brand new cut files: "Build A Flower 9" and an older one "All Of Me" and a photo of my daughter standing in a field full of tulips, taken last month.
We live in The Netherlands and we are so blessed to have flowers everywhere. These tulips grew around the corner of our house. Don't you just love tulips? They make me so happy! Because of all the flowers in the photo I thought this new cut file was just perfect for my page!
I looked in the JustNick store for a fitting title and found the "All Of Me" cut file. I loved it straight away!
For my layout I used a 6" x 6" paper pad from the Pink Paislee collection "Turn The Page" and some brads and that was all! Here are a few close-ups:
To build the flowers I used some good old fashioned brads. I can't remember when I last used those! It felt real good to use them again.
Before adhering the flowers and the photo on the white cardstock background I colored it a little bit pink using a blender brush and a pink ink pad and added a few drops of glimmer mist.
YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE | MONIQUE LIEDTKE April 26, 2019 07:00
Hi friends, it's Monique here with another spring layout using the Broken Butterfly cut file. I adore all those "broken" cut files so when I saw this one I just knew I had to use it! Since I wanted to use a white background (but love my colors) I decided to cut the butterfly from a multicolored paper. Here's what I created:
This is the Broken Butterfly cut file:
I used Crate Paper's "Willow Lane" collection from Maggie Holmes. I think I have all of the collections she designed, I'm such a huge fan. This collection was just perfect for a spring layout featuring my beautiful daughter:
Although I decided to use a white background for my layout in the end I thought it was a bit too white and so I brushed some light pink paint (Gelatos) over it, using a large square foam brush. Next I added lots of paint drops and then also cut off 1.5 cm from two sides and glued the white paper onto a patterned paper, so the background wasn't so white anymore:
After adhering the butterfly to my background, I placed the matted photo in the bottom right corner and embellished it. Next came the cluster in the top left corner (aren't those puffy stickers awesome?!):
And the little cluster in the top right corner:
When I had the three clusters in place I decided to fill all the spaces in the butterfly with little puffy hearts:
When I was finished I really loved the result! After some machine stitching and stamping the date my layout was almost done! The little pink bow was the perfect finishing touch! Hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you happy scrapping!
LONDON VISIT | Monique Liedtke April 9, 2019 07:00
Hello everyone, it's Monique here today with another project to share. For today's layout I was looking for a cut file with large letters and after browsing through the JustNick store I found the "Striped Alpha" cut file.
Last year when we were on vacation in the UK, we decided to reserve one of our days for a quick visit to London as my boys had never been there before. We had the day of our lives and so this needed to be scrapped!
Here's the page I did:
I used Doodlebug Design's Sweet Summer collection and chose the Punch Plaid sheet to cut the letters from. As soon as I placed the letters on the white background it all looked so colorful. I really love this about Doodlebug's products!
This is the "Striped Alhpa" cut file I used:
I hand cut the photo of my boys posing in front of the Tower Bridge to fit into one of the "O"'s:
All the other letters were decorated using one of more of the Doodlebug die-cuts and stickers:
With a bit of machine stitching and a date stamp my page was finished!
I really love this cut file and know I'll be using it for a few more layouts. Maybe next time I'll weld the letters together.
If you like this page and think you might give it a try too then maybe check the JustNick store to see all the other alpha cut files as well. I think the Marquee Alpha cut file would be perfect for a page like this too!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Hello Today | Monique Liedtke March 26, 2019 07:00
I love to use background cut files and this beautiful daisy background cut file is one my new favorites! I cut it from a smooth white AC cardstock and backed a few of the flowers with some patterned paper. I love to leave a few of the flowers "open" and a few of them with patterned paper behind them.
Here's the layout I created:
and this is the "Daisy Background" cut file I used:
Here are a few close-ups: except for adhering patterned paper behind some of the flowers I also added either a tiny sticker or an enamel dot to the hearts of the flowers.
I used a photo of "my boys" and I from last year's summer vacation. I really how this turned out and hope you like it too!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you happy crafting!
Together | Monique Liedtke March 12, 2019 07:00
Here's the layout I created using the Pretty Little Studio collection XOXO:
and these are the cut files:
Aren't these cut files beautiful?! I cut the "Floral Grouping 1" from both white cardstock and from a piece of patterned paper, the white one slighter larger than the colored one. I placed these on top of each other to create extra depth and added the matted photo on top.
I also cut two flowers from the "Bloom" cut file from patterned paper and some leaves from white cardstock and adhered the flowers on top of the photo in the bottom left corner and in the top right corner. The leaves I slid under the photo also in the top right corner.
And an extra close-up:
I really love how delicate these flowers are and how super easy they cut!
Thank you so much for stopping by, wishing you happy scrapping!
Be A Flamingo | Monique Liedtke February 18, 2019 07:00
Hi JustNick friends!!
It's Monique here today sharing another "Valentine's" layout, this time one with my kids in it instead of my hubby. I totally love the new "Heart Background 6" cut file and knew I had to use it. I chose the Heart Day collection from Crate Paper that I bought ages ago and of which I had 90% left (I love it too much to use it, how silly is that?) and an awesome journaling card from Paper Issues.
The new "Heart Background 6" cut file:
Before I used this cut file I copied it 3 times, so I had 4 of it, placed them in a square and welded them together. Then I resized it to fit my 12" x 12" sized background paper. Doesn't it look great?!
I created two clusters on my page: one with the photo in the left bottom corner:
I matted the photo on three different pieces of patterned paper, added a little card with an acrylic heart stapled to it, added a text sticker and a puffy heart sticker and of course a bit of machine stitching:
The other cluster I placed in the top right corner. This cluster consists of the fun flamingo journaling card, two paper clips, an acrylic tag, two die-cut hearts and two puffy hearts. I finished the cluster off with another machine stitched line:
At the top and bottom of the layout I added a strip of light pink washi tape with golden hearts. Love washi tape!
When my page was almost done, I added little golden enamel hearts and glued these randomly in the hearts of the cut file.
After adding a few light pink paint splatters I decided my layout was done! Hope you like it!
Love of my life | Monique Liedtke February 7, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick fans! I can't believe it's February already! Only one more week and it's Valentine's Day! To be honest, at our home we don't really "celebrate" this day. My husband thinks Valentine's Day is too "commercial" and says he'd rather buy me flowers or chocolate on a "normal" day, rather than being forced to buy me something on February 14th. I, on the other hand, wouldn't mind getting something, like flowers, on the 14th, lol! But whether or not he buys me flowers, I love him to pieces! I also love all the Valentine's scrapbook collections and can't resist buying them. So for today's blogpost I thought I would use one of them. For this layout I used Doodlebug's "French Kiss" collection, combined with the beautiful cut file from the JustNick store "Free Love".
And this is the cut file I used: Free Love
Isn't this cut file just perfect?! I love these open letters, where you can add your own patterned papers behind them! I used the 6"x 6" paper pad as I think the smaller patterns look better in a word of this size. Here are a few close-ups:
To color the white background I used both a brush with stamping ink and some spray mist. I'm trying to do something else than using pure white cardstock backgrounds. I think I like it, it's a bit more colorful.
So, if you're looking for more "love" cut files to create your own Valentine's scrapbook page, then make sure to check out the JustNick store! There are so many beautiful cut files you can use!
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look! Wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day with your loved one(s)!
Snow Much Fun | Monique Liedtke January 31, 2019 07:00
Hi everyone! It's Monique here with a fun winter layout. Winter has finally arrived here in The Netherlands, including a little snow (yay!), so now I'm in the mood to scrap some winter photos. As I haven't had the chance to take them I'm scrapping a few of my many older photos.
These photos were taken ten years ago (how time flies!) and I loved seeing them again!
These are the cut files I used:
Before I got started on my layout I chose all the "non Christmas" papers from the Doodlebug collection "Christmas Town" and selected four papers to cut four snowmen from.
Next I cut the word "Joy" from a piece of white cardstock and used glimmermist to spray it in a beautiful green color.
I used the snowmen for the background and placed these strategically on a white cardstock background paper: two on the left side and two on the right. Next I matted the two photos and placed these on top of the snowmen with the title (sort of) in between. The next part was simple, I just added lots of Doodlebug embellishments, hand journaling and a date stamp! When I was finished I decided to add a bit more color by cutting 1 cm off the entire layout (on all four sides) and placing it on a colorful dotted patterned paper. I really loved the result! After adding my usual bit of machine stitching and a few drops of paint I was done!
Thank you so much for stopping by today to have a look at my page. If you want to check out this cut file or any other "winter" cut file in the store, just click HERE.
Wishing you a wonderful day and happy scrapping!
LOVE | Monique Liedtke January 7, 2019 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here with my very first layout for JustNick for 2019. The assignment for this week was to create a project about our goals for 2019 or to create an "about me" project. I don't normally have goals for any new year, but there's one goal I always set myself (and never manage to achieve) and that is to stop postponing things! I'm such a procrastinator!
So here's a layout about me with my goal for ALL of the years:
I love the cut file I used for this page: "Loads of Love":
Isn't this cut file awesome?! It's so versatile! In this case it stands for "loving my life". I used Paige Evans (Pink Paislee's) Pick-Me-Up collection. I love how colorful this collection is, which is very "me". I added a few bits and pieces from other collections/manufacturers as well, like the little piece of paper with the text, which is from Simple Stories, the green puffy sticker, which is from MAMBI and the white puffy sticker which is from Pinkfresh Studio.
Here are a few close-ups:
Thank you so much for stopping by today to have a look at my page. If you want to check out this cut file or any other "LOVE" cut file in the store, just click HERE.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy 2019!!
Falalalala Christmas Tree | Monique Liedtke December 18, 2018 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here today sharing one of my Christmas layouts. I'm a huge fan of everything Christmas and I LOVE the JustNick Christmas cut files! Have you already checked them out? For my page I chose two: the "FA LA LA LA LA" Christmas tree and the "Naughty or Nice" expression.
Here's the layout I created with photos of our family Christmas brunch tradition using the Cozy and Bright collection from Pebbles. I used bright red cardstock to cut both the tree and the title from. Not only because I associate red with Christmas, but also because it's my favorite color. Red makes me happy!
And these are the cut files I used:
And here are a few close-ups of my page:
What I love about this "open cut" Christmas tree is that you can so eaily tuck stickers and die-cuts behind it, like I did with the gingerbread man and one of the presents. And don't you just love those funny Christmas elves!
When I was almost done, I added a bit of machine stitching and paint drops for the finishing touch. I really love how "happy" this page turned out.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to have a look at my page. If you want to check out the Chrismas cut files in the store, just click HERE.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas!!
12 Days of Giveaways - DAY 7 | Monique Liedtke December 7, 2018 00:30 3 Comments
I decided to use one of the snowflakes as the background for my layout (the one at the bottom left side) and created this page using an older collection from Bella Blvd: "Christmas Cheer":
Here are a few close-ups of my page:
I cut the snowflake from the "Daily Details" sheet, a sheet full of different colored snowflakes and love how it turned out.
I love background cut files and often use a "normal sized" cut file and enlarge it so I can use it for my background, like I did here.
If you like the "snowflakes 5" cut file too, then be sure to hop over to the JustNick shop to grab this free cut file!!

Grateful for Friends | Monique Liedtke November 21, 2018 07:00
And this is the Retro Hip Background cut file:
When I saw this cut file I new I wanted to use it straight away. I love background cut files, they are always so versatile and can be used for any and every layout you want to create.
This week's theme for the DT to use is "Thankful", but as I also wanted to use the new Crate Paper Christmas collection "Merry Days" that had just arrived at my doorstep, I chose to combine the two and created a Thankful/Christmas layout.
I have this great group of friends that I love to spend time with and every year for the last 10 years or so, we get together on a Sunday in December to spend the day scrapping, talking, eating and be merry. I'm so grateful to be able to call these girls my friends that I decided to do this Thankful layout about them.
Here are a few close-ups of my page:
I just love Christmas collections and this one is no exception! This is the first Chrismas layout I created this year and I think the Retro Hip Background cut file is a perfect match for my page!
Thank you so much for stopping by the JustNick blog today and don't forget to check out the JustNick store for this and more background cut files!
LOVE | Monique Liedtke November 7, 2018 07:00
Hello JustNick friends, it's Monique here, sharing a page about my daughter and our niece, which I created with one of the new November cut files "Feathers 4" cut file and the words cut file "Word 4". Here's the layout I created:
These are the cut files I used: Feathers 4
and this one: WORD 4
I just adore using feathers on my layout and am so happy Nicole designed so many of them! Here are a few close-ups of the feathers I cut:
Except for these cut files I also puled out one of the older scrapbook collections from my stash: "Stationery Noted" from Teresa Collins. I'm such a hoarder, but sometimes all my stash "overwhelms" me and I just need to use some of it. In this case I'm so glad I did, I really love the result.
Here's a close-up of the word "love" that I cut:
I really like these "open" words and had planned to back this one with some patterned paper, but when I held it above my layout to decide on which papers to use, I decided I really loved it better without backing. Would love to hear what you think?
One last photo and that's it:
Thanks again and wishing you happy cutting!
Welcome Fall | Monique Liedtke October 31, 2018 07:00 1 Comment
Hi JustNick friends, it's Monique here sharing one of my Autumn layouts with you. For this page I decided to use one of JustNick's (cut) files to embroider the design on my layout instead of cutting the design. I chose the Floral Swag 3 and used it to create this page of my daughter:
Here's the cut file I used: Floral Swag 3
What I did was replacing the blade by a sketch pen and instead of cutting, I let my Silhouette Cameo draw the flowers on my cardstock. I then pierced holes along the lines and used embroidery floss in various colors to hand stitch the flowers and leaves.
I used Echo Park's "Celebrate Autumn" for my page as I just love the warm colors of the papers and because I love the owls and other cute critters in this collection!
Next I printed two small (3"x 4") photos of my girl, matted these and placed them above the flowers. I decided that the top of my layout was too white and cut a strip of patterned owl paper (4" x 12") and adhered this at the top of my layout, with a small border strip (0.5" x 12") below.
On both sides of the photos I added a little card and a few chipboard pieces:
As I thought there was too much white space in the largest flower of my embroidered design I punched 5 small circles and adhered these in the petals of the flower:
This is it. Hope you like it! There are more floral swag cut files in the JustNick store if you want to try some of them out to create Fall projects as well. Can't wait to see what you'll do!
Thanks for stopping by and wishing you happy scrapping!
On The Go | Monique Liedtke October 2, 2018 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique on the blog today, sharing my "Barcelona" layout with you. It's been almost 6 years that we visited this amazing city and the photos I've used on this layout have been lying on my desk for just as long! I had created a mini album for this vacation and these were my leftover photos, but as it was one of the most amazing city trips we did, I didn't want to part with them. And now I'm so glad I didn't as they were just perfect to use with the "Big Wheels" cut file!
This is the "Big Wheels" cut file; such an awesome, versatile cut file!
I also used the "Wish You Were Here" collection from Pretty Little Studio and my circle punches to create this page. Love how well the colors of Pretty Little Studio collection match my photos! And I love that I got to use so many different pieces of patterned paper in one layout!
And no, there were no lamas to be found in Barcelona, but I adored the die-cut and wanted to include at least part of him in my page!
When I started my layout I had square sized photos, but quickly decided that that size didn't work for a multiple photo layout with this cut file. Then I punched circles from my photos and now I totally love the result!
I added a few word stickers, word flags and die-cuts and a bit of machine stitching and I was done!
Thank you so much for stopping by our blog to take a peek at my project! Hope you like it. If you're looking for this or other circular cut files or any other cut file just hop over to the JustNick store!
Hello Fall | Monique Liedtke September 19, 2018 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here with you today and I'm so very happy I get to share my Fall layout with you! Fall is my favorite season and I had such a great time scrapping this page! I used a photo of my daughter, which she took herself for her Bookstagram account, hence a photo of her reading. I chose the beautiful "Leaf Cluster" cut file and used it as background:
Look how awesome the Leaf Cluster cut file looks like:
I used the Echo Park's "Celebrate Autumn" collection for my page and the "Autumn Floral" paper to cut out the leaf cluster. Initially I wanted to use the other side of Autumn Floral paper, but while building my page I decided the cut-out leaves looked much better using this side of the paper!
The cut out word "love" was still lying on my desk from one of the earlier pages I created and came from the "Valentine" cut file.
How I love Fall colors!
Wishing you happy scrapping!
You are my happy | Monique Liedtke September 13, 2018 07:00
Hi everyone, it's Monique here with you today. For this week's "Words/Phrases" assignment I chose the "You are my happy" cut file as it was perfect to scrap these fun photos of my daughter posing in a huge Starbucks cup:
Last October my daughter went on vacation with her friends and was instructed to send me a lot of fun photos and this was one of them. As she adores coffees from Starbucks, both warm and cold, this "You are my happy" cut file was just what these photos needed!
The "Cream and Sugar" collection I used is from my favorite manufacturer "Doodlebug Design". I just love the bright colors, fun prints and the adorable die-cuts and doodle-pops in this collection.
I sized the cut file to fit my 12" x 12" paper and cut it from the "Sugar Doodles" paper. I love how it turned out:
To adhere the cut file on my page I used just a tiny bit of adhesive and added a little machine stitching here and there both so it won't fall off later-on and to add a bit of extra texture to my page.
This is it from me today. The "You are my happy" cut file is perfect for so many occasions, I'm sure I'll use it again and again. Don't forget to check out all the words and phrases cut files in the JustNick store. If you use one on your layout too then don't forget to share it either on our facebook page or tag us on Instagram!
Thank you so much for stopping by and wishing you happy scrapping!
Without change there would be no butterflies | Monique Liedtke August 30, 2018 07:00
Hi everyone! Welcome to the JustNick blog! It's Monique here today sharing another page created with two of Nicole's one-of-a-kind cut files! I feel so blessed to be on her team, to be able to play with all the awesomeness from the store!
Here's the layout I created for today's post. The photo I used is of my girl looking out over the sea and was taken during our vacation in Spain last May. I love how peaceful this photo looks.
For this page I chose one of the butterfly cut files "Butterfly Background", which I totally adore:
And the "Valentine" cut file, from which I used the word "love":
I used the "Brie" collection from Felicity Jane for my layout and cut the butterfly background from the pink "Gradient Grid & Stripe" sheet. I just love the ombre effect on this paper.
Before adhering the butterflies to my background, I used a Nuvo blender brush and a pink ink pad to give the white cardstock a little bit of color and I also added a few drops of pink Tattered Angels mist.
Here are a few close-up images of my layout. Of course I had to use the chipboard circle with the saying "without change there would be no butterflies" which was perfect for my page (although I always thought the saying was the other way around "without butterflies there would be no change" ...? )
The word "love" was cut from a dotted piece of cardstock and then adhered to the photo using my tiny attacher:
I really love how this layout turned out. I hope you do too!
Thank you so much for stopping by and before you go, be sure to check out all the butterfly cut files in the shop!
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have an amazing day!
Bring on Summer | Monique Liedtke August 7, 2018 07:00
Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique again with another Summer layout using the "Bring on Summer" cut files and the Sunshine & Happiness collection from Simple Stories. We have been having a couple of exceptionally warm and dry weeks here in The Netherlands and that called for lots of ice cream eating!
Here's a layout I made using a photo of the boys and I having an ice cream on our walk through the city centre here in Delft. There's this lovely Italian ice cream shop in the market square where we love to try all the different flavors they sell (which are many!).
I just love all the different cut files in the "Bring on Summer" set and used both the sun, the ice cream and the words.
The reason I chose this cut file set was the ice cream cut file of course. I cut the cone once, but the ice cream ball three times. I placed the ice cream balls on top of each other and machine stitched them together:
Next I cut out the sun, adhered this behind the ice cream and stitched between the rays:
I matted the photo and adhered it on top of the ice cream. I cut out the title "Bring on Summer" and stapled it on top of the ice cream & photo:
I decorated the rest of the layout with lots of die-cuts, chipboard shapes, stickers and stamps and wrote a bit of journaling in the bottom right corner and was done!
I had so much fun creating this, hope you like it too!
Thank you so much for stopping by! And if you're looking for this cut file or for other summer cut files then please hop over to the JustNick shop!
Have a great day!
This is the life | Monique Liedtke July 26, 2018 07:00
Hi everyone! It's Monique here today sharing a fun summer layout created with a couple of JustNick's cut files.
Last May my family and I spent a few days in Spain and one of the activities we undertook was walk (climb) to the cross on top of the "Sierra Helada" that towers over Benidorm. For me, this was anything but easy, untrained as I am, but I did it! (The kids and my hubby seem to do the climb with much less effort!) Of course my daughter took a "selfie" and so I could do a layout about this! Here's what I made:
For this page I used the "Around The World" cut files:
I cut out the globe in almost 12"x 12" size and used that for my background and built the rest of the page on top of it.
I used Doodlebug Design's "Sweet Summer" collection which I found just perfect for these travel cut files and my holiday photo.
Here a few close-ups of the other cut files I used from the "Around the World" bundle: first the tag with the word "vacation" cut out:
Next the "Right Here" cut file:
And last but not least, the Geo Tags:
I really love this set of cut files! They are so perfect to use for lots more of my travel photos!
Thank you so much for stopping by our blog to take a peek at my layout. If you use these cut files too, don't forget to share on our facebook page! I would love to see what you'll make!
This is ME | Monique Liedtke July 10, 2018 07:00 2 Comments
Hello JustNick Studio friends!
It's Monique Liedtke here today and I'm so happy I get to share my very first DT project with you! I've loved Nicole's digital cut files forever and am so excited to be part of the JustNick team for the next year!
