Adorable Keychains! | Morgan Langley June 26, 2018 07:00
Hey crafty friends! Today I am using the cut files a little bit different and incorporating these wooden beads I found at the Dollar Store to make these adorable keychains or charms or a mini album or scrapbook!
I used the cut files "Spring Doodle Flowers", "Cactus Jack", and some extra hearts from "Hearts 2" that I used in my last mini album project.
I tied a knot at the end of my embroidery floss, strung my beads, decorated my 1 1/2 end circle with the cut files, paper punched holes in the bottom and top of the circle to string it onto the floss, and then tied on the keychain loop or mini binder ring!

Friendship | Morgan Langley May 22, 2018 07:00
Hey guys! Today I am sharing a layout that is a little different for me! I love watercoloring, but I usually keep it simple with a few splatters here and there. For this one though I cut the different stems from "Stems 2,4, and 5" (three cut files) and water colored away! I did a rainbow of coloring and mixed shades and amounts of water to get the look I wanted. While the paint was still wet I did splatters of darker/lighter colors or just water drips to make the paint spread. I love the way it turned out and it was SO fun and care free!
I added super minimal embellishments with some corresponding sequins, flowers, little birds, ladybugs, snails, etc. Then I used mixed letter stickers to create my title!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Pick up these unique stem cut files yourself and see what you can create! It's always fun to try something new!
Thankful for Mom | Morgan Langley May 6, 2018 07:00
Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a post for mom's week on the Just Nick blog using the "floral frames" cut file!
I love ALL the beautiful floral cut feels in the shop and all of them make great spring layouts! I started by cutting my frames and backing them with patterned papers from the "Turn the Page" collection. I love how much color this adds. I also watercolored my plain white background before adhering the frames with the packaging technique and some splatters! I tried to match the paint to colors in the collection!

Stitched Clouds | Morgan Langley March 21, 2018 07:00
Hey guys! Today I am sharing a layout I created using the "Cloudy Day" cut file!
First I cut my file on card stock, adhered it, backed it with pattern paper from Maggie Holmes "Carousel" collection and then stitched around the clouds! Hand stitching is time consuming, but I love the look it creates!
Then to embellish! I used stickers and pieces from the same collection and added some sequins and buttons. I liked how the kites in this collection coordinating with the airy clouds!
Thank you for stopping by and check out the store for some new spring cut files for all your scrappy projects!

Starburst Layout! | Morgan Langley January 23, 2018 07:00 1 Comment
Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a fun layout I created using the "starburst" cut file and a sparkler picture I had from New Years!
I turned the cut file vertical and backed it with papers from Pink Pasilee's "Turn the Page". It was easiest to use the white stars that the cameo cut out as templates for backing, cutting them a little larger and then gluing them behind. I added ephemera from the collection, splatter paints, sequins, and fussy cut stars from the 12x12 pad and the 6x6 pad.
I love these positive speech bubbles from the 6x6 pad and thought they went perfect for this New Year's spread!

14 Days of Giveaways - Day 13 | Morgan Langley December 13, 2017 07:00 2 Comments
Welcome to Day 13 of our 14 Days of Holidays cut file giveaways! Each weekday from December 1-14, 2017 we will be giving away a FREE cut file for that day only!
This cut file was SO fun to use! I cut the tags different sizes using a mix of kraft, white, and patterned card stock. Then I backed the cut outs with another scrap of paper and was ready to add some stitching accents!
On some of the tags I used a ruler to mark straight, different sized lines with a pencil and then stitched them, some I stitched around the image, others I stitched snowflakes, and a couple I did some french knot stitches!
I put thread or bakers twine through the hole of each tag and put adhesive so they would stay in position on my layout!
For my background I just sewed on some scraps of Christmas paper with my sewing machine using a mix of white and red threads. I added my photo and some wood snowflakes and Christmas trees and then the layout was complete!
Thank you for stopping by and make sure to get this file (HOLIDAY TAGS 2) today FREE with the code TAGFREE at checkout! Come back tomorrow for the 14th Day of giveaways!

Hello Fall! | Morgan Langley October 2, 2017 07:00
Hello crafty friends, Morgan here! I can not believe it is already October! For my layout today I used the "Bare Tree" cut file and made the tree not so bare by using the leaves included in the file and adding them onto my tree!
For my background I added some light pink, yellow, and orange watercolor splatters and cut my leaves from different colored card stock. Some of the leaves have more intricate pieces so I used the "double cut" feature on my Silhouette Cameo to get clean lines. Then I backed them onto white card stock to make them thicker and more durable for stitching. I stitched around them using corresponding thread colors. I love what paper embroidery adds to the layout!
For my photo cluster I used various Dear Lizzy ephemera and some of the cut file leaves that I hadn't yet stitched behind my photo. I also added in some floral pieces I had and a cute flair button with a wood grain background. I love how cute that little bunny piece is and thought it went in nicely!

Summer Circle Background Layout! | Morgan Langley July 18, 2017 07:00
Hello friends! It is Morgan here and I am excited to be sharing my layout I created using the "In the deep end background". This file was so easy and fun to work with!
I cut the file on white card stock first and then taking papers from the 6x6 "Oh My Heart" collection I cut small pieces to fit into the squares around each circle as well as the middle piece. I grouped all the pink patterns together, all the greens together, etc. Then I laid out the file on my page and marked where each colored circle was for my splatter paint. I matched the splatter paint with the color of circle that would be on top.
Next I fussy cut the larger flowers from the 12x12 "Oh my Heart" paper pad and layered them behind the circles still matching the colors. I added smaller flowers with bunched thread and sequins into the center of some of the smaller circles.
I cut three photos into circles to fit inside the cut file and love how they flow into the layout. I used my type writer for my journaling about this summer day at my grandparents house in Ohio.
Thank you for reading about my crafty process! I hope you try and incorporate this file into one of your own beautiful creations!
Best Day Ever | Morgan Langley July 4, 2017 07:00
Hello crafty friends! My name is Morgan and I am so excited to be sharing my first layout I created for Just Nick!
For my layout I used the "Graphic Chevron Background" first as a guideline for my paper embroidery. Rather than cutting the file I used a grey Silhouette Sketch pen on white card stock.
After sketching the cut file, I poked my holes and starting stitching with shades of blue and pink thread. For the larger sections not filled with lines, I stitched around the outside and then added pieces of scrap paper I had from the Crate Paper Oasis collection. I also used the branding strips of the 6x6 Oasis pad to machine stitch around the outer edges of the layout.
For my title I used the "Best Day Ever" cut file, cutting it on hot pink cardstock and then cutting three pictures from my family vacation to Mexico to fit into the word DAY.
I also typed my title with my typewriter on white paper and added it in the center of the layout under the A. I stamped my date in the right hand corner by stamping the year and then layering the date again using a roller stamp. I love this technique for really making the date stand out.
Clustered around "DAY" are palm branches from the cut file "Take me to Paradise". I love these leaves and use them on almost every summery project I make! I also clustered some word stickers, sequins, puffy stickers, and embellishments.
I splatter painted my background with light and dark pink watercolors, added sequins, and I love how it turned out! Thank you so much for reading about my crafty process and I hope you will try and make your own projects using these beautiful cut files!
