Pretty Mandala - Nicole Nowosad February 19, 2020 07:00
Hi there Justnick fans! Nicole here today to share a mixed media project using our Pretty Mandala cut file
This cut file is so intricate and pretty, I couldn't resist creating a mixed media background to lay the design over.
The openness of the design allows the background to show through and create a pretty pattern for the background of my project.
I love how easy this page was to put together. Although the design will take a while to cut the time is worth it - just create your mixed media background while it cuts!
I hope you are inspired to cut this image out and give this a try!
Create your own title - Nicole Nowosad January 31, 2020 07:00
An alphabet cut file is a great investment. You can virtually create ANY title for your page, and even make it into a background if you want!
I used the Varsity Outline alpha cut file to create this design on my page.
I simply welded together the letters for the design on my page and increased the size of the words so that the largest O would fit my photo.
Cutting the title/background design from black cardstock adds a bold POP to the page to mix well with the patterned papers.
I hope you will give this technique a try! Check out the different alphabet cut files we have in the store and think of the possibilities!

Everyday Magic Layout by Rachel Lowe: July 2, 2017 07:00 5 Comments
Hello everyone and I hope you are all having a wonderful week end!
I am so excited to be apart of the JustNick DT and to share my very first layout.
I have used this stunning new cut file Behold Beauty, isn't it just stunning!
And here is how I used it on my layout.
I have used PinkFresh Studio Live More collection.
I have cut the floral piece twice, once in white cardstock and then another in my chosen patterned paper. I did this to create layers and height. I then dressed up my centres and added more leaves to create a cascading effect. Isn't it stunning against the marble effect background paper!
I then cut my photo into three strips for visual interest. I have foam taped my photo over the floral piece to add to the 3D effect. This photo is special as it is of three generations, me, my mother and my daughter, and this is why I scrap, to memory keep and ensure these photo moments do not pass undocumented.
So not to distract from the cut file I have placed my title under my photo and finished this layout off adding detail with clusters of embellishments.
Here are some close up photos for you:
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this gorgeous Behold Beauty cut file.

Good morning! We are pleased to have Sheena Rowlands joining us this month as our guest designer.
Hi Im Sheena x
A British Mum to 3 children who are growing up way too fast!
I love to create & currently quilt & crochet but Project Life & Scrapbooking are my favourite ways to record our crazy life.
I currently design for Shimelle.com & Hey Little Magpie ( UK’s number 1 online scrapbook store)
We asked Sheena to design a few pages for us and here is the first one she sent using our Heart Background cut file:
When I saw the Heart Background cut file I knew I wanted to use it as a sewing template for a layout. So instead of setting my Cameo to cut I set it to perforate the edge so I could sew around the lines of the file.
I will admit it was a labour of love but I did most of it in front of my favourite programmes. I clustered my photos with the embellishments & title so as to show as much of the sewing as possible on the finished page.
We also created this month's freebie cut file and sent it to Sheena and she created this page!
As the background for this page I used the Tic Tac Toe cut file. I reduced it to 6x6in and copied it 3 more times then flipped them & joined them back as one large square.
Do you remember kaleidoscopes from when we were kids? Well that was the look I was going for when I backed the cut file with squares of rainbow coloured paper. I kept the rest of my design central using a photo of myself & my 3 children, when did they get so tall!!, I cut the Always from the Today, Forever, Always cut file in black then cut it again outer edge only this time from watercolour paper which I randomly painted before adding the black edging back over.
Super fun page right! Here is a peek at the cut file for this page:
Now, you can grab this file for free by using the code TICTACTOEFREE at checkout NOW until June 30, 2016 only!

Thanks so much to Sheena for guest designing for us this month! Enjoy this month's freebie :)

It is my pleasure to have Raquel Bowman join us this month as our Guest Designer!
My name is Raquel and I am an Australian primary school teacher, Mummy to two kiddies (Jack 1 & Charlotte 3) and wife to Clint. I admit I am pretty obsessed with scrapbooking and love nothing more than playing with a variety of yummy papers and embellishments and making pretty stuff. I love spending time with my family, sharing coffee with friends, having creative time, a glass of wine at the end of a tough day and all things social media! I have been scrapping for around twelve years now and feel I have finally ‘found’ my style. I’m a lover of layers and clusters and enjoy adding little details while still maintaining white space, balance and a cleanliness to my layouts.
You can find me designing for online publication Jot Magazine, Hip Kit Club and manufacturers Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Pink Paislee.
We asked Raquel to create a page using any of our cut files she liked and this is what she created!

Please help me welcome our January Guest Designer - Patricia Roebuck!
Hello! I’m Patricia Roebuck. I live in Louisiana with my husband, daughter, and cat. I love spending time with them and documenting our lives. I've been married for 25 years. My husband and I adopted our daughter, Emma, in July of 2009, so we consider ourselves a Chinese Adoptive Family, but 100% American. It was because of our adoption and wanting to create a Life Book for our daughter, that I got into scrapbooking. Besides my love of scrapbooking, I love photography, and creating anything from cards to DIY projects. I have been so fortunate to be published in Scrapbook Trends, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks, Etc., Scrapwerk, and Scrapbook & Cards Today. I currently design for October Afternoon, Pink Paislee, Gossamer Blue, and Team Richard Garay, and am a teacher at Big Picture Classes.
We asked Patricia to choose some of her favorite files from our store and create something and this is what she came up with!
This is what she had to say about her project:
The Pretty Pattern Background has a very festive look and inspired me to create a New Year’s celebration layout. By cutting more than one cut file and then turning them, it makes the cut file look continuous. That is the look I achieved with using two cuts as a stencil with modeling paste on my dark blue background. It created the movement and festive feel of the celebration. To add more texture and even more of a festive feel to the layout, I added the Spike Flowers. The one near the photo layers all three of the cut flowers; the others layer two of the smaller flowers together. The placement of my title, gold accents, and flowers work well with the movement from the Pretty Pattern Background.

We also created a fun file for Patricia to design with and you are going to love what she came up with! Check it out!

Scrapbooking is great for preserving memories, but it is a great way to motivate us in the New Year. Selfies don’t come naturally for me, but I think layouts with them help us to grow, reflect, and to also document us. Nicole created this cut file with a very encouraging, motivational quote. The quote inspired me to take a photo of myself reflecting on these words. Her quote includes everything about achieving your dreams, being grateful and giving, but to also remember to love and laugh. I tend to take life too seriously at times, and this is a great start for my New Year, and what I hope to remember throughout the year. I used the Pattern Clouds to add more clouds around the layout, bringing balance to the layout and focus to the photo and the quote.
Cut files really help me when I need a boost of creativity. They jumpstart my layout idea. Nicole’s cut files made these layouts come together quickly. Once I had the cut files picked out, I matched them with the photos, then picked out my supplies. Thank you so much Nicole for having me!
THANK YOU Patricia!! We love how Patricia used our cut files!
