This Will Be Our Year || Joanna Bandelin January 5, 2021 06:00

Hi friends, Joanna Bandelin here, I hope you all are having a great start to your New Year. Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page using a large title from the New Year Words cut file set by JustNick.

We all know 2020 was crazy, so with lots of hope and faith, I'm praying this year will be 100% better! So I wanted to pick a title for this page that represented my hope for my family and this one was it.

I cut out the title on pattern paper and used pop dots on the back for dimension. I did some fussy cutting with the flower wreath. I added lots of flower clusters around my page.

I hope you like it and you are inspired to start the new year off right and document those treasured memories.

Let the Sparks Fly January 3, 2017 07:00

Hello JustNick Studio friends!

Marcia here today. This week designers were challenged to concentrating on those word cut files. I thought it would be fun to scrap some New Year's Eve photos and use the New Year Words cut file. When combined with the Confetti Background cut file, you have a recipe for a fabulous New Year's Eve party layout!!

Here is a close up of that awesome Confetti Background cut file.

I love the ready made titles in the New Year Words cut file. "Let The Sparks Fly" was perfect for this photo.

Here are the cut files I use today ...

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Let the adventure begin and My word for the year January 20, 2016 07:00

Hi everybody,

Do you make resolutions or choose a word for the year? What kind of goals do you make as a new year begins? Ever since I heard about choosing a word, as opposed to a full on list of resolutions, I've gone gung-ho on the idea. And, each year I create either a scrapbook page or some other type of decor piece that focuses on my word.

This year, my word is REJOICE. I'm even using the "nickname" of this word - joy. One of the ways I am remembering and exercising this word is by continuing to do what I love - and that includes scrapbooking!

Here is the page I created (and then we'll chat about the cut files used):

I love these kinds of pages because I literally just pull out all my favorite things. No worry about manufacturer and what is what. I also decided to go pretty simple with the cut files. How cool does that white on kraft look??? It really does pop and helps to complete my overall design.

I just love the font of the title - Let the Adventure Begin. Which is so fitting for a page like this!

I purposefully left the title partially coming off the page. This was part laziness and part purposeful. I'm not sure the technical artsy term for doing something like this but, I do like the look for whatever reason. :)

Here is another close up of the circle year. You'll notice I trimmed part of it off to fit up against the paper.

Do you love these cut files as much as I do? Head over to the Just Nick shop and grab your own! Here are the ones that I used:
