Happy Monday scrappers! Nicole here with a fun summer layout... I don't know about you, but it's been a crazy winter in Maryland! Last month, when I created this layout, it was in the 60's all weekend. On the 20th of February! Naturally, I was in the mood to scrap a summer layout. LOL.
I used three different cut files and Simple Stories' You are here collection for this layout (Arrows 3, Summer Words, Sunny Days). I also used some of my Altenew stamps to create a fun geometric flower and a smaller flower to add to the "relax" die cut circle.
Here are a few closer photos of my layout. I love all the layering on this layout!
Products Used: Patterned Paper, Stickers: Chipboard Frame: Enamel Dots, Clear Stickers: Die-cuts: Simple Stories, Stamps: Altenew, Digital Cutfiles: Just Nick Studio (Arrow 3, Summer Words, Sunny Days).
Thank you for visiting today!
Remember February 07, 2017 07:00Good morning everyone. Just recently, I was going through Edward's baby albums and came across this one photo of Edward and I sitting in the sun. We were at a Father's Day party for Pete. His friends surprised him with a party which was fitting since it was his FIRST Father's Day. I miss those days when Edward was just a newborn. He was such an easy baby! He grew up too fast. It's hard to believe he's going to be 7 this February. Do you ever go through your old photos and re-scrap them? I love going back and reliving those moments just for a second.
For this layout, I used Just Nick Studio's Heart to Heart Background 2 Digital Cut file. I decided to cut the image from orange cardstock to make the cut file pop! For the background, I added a variety of washi tape strips. :)
I added some stamping, cork triangles, die cuts and stickers at the bottom of the layout with some mist and Nuvo dots to help pull the layout together. Without these elements, the bottom looked too empty.
One of my favorite things to do is outline the layout with a 1/4" border using a ruler and a black pen. I just love the way it looks. See how nice the washi tape looks behind the digital cut file? LOVE it! I need to try this technique again; very soon.
Cut file used: Heart to Heart Background 2

Hello everyone. Nicole here with a fun winter layout! I was inspired by the trees and cards in this photo so I used different pieces of journaling cards and patterns. I love the little tree pattern! This layout was so much fun to make. I used my red Nuvo to make the doodled frame.
For the holiday sentiments, I used my Silhouette sketch pens to sketch Just Nick Studio's holiday sentiments on my layout in light blue. I wanted it to be subtle.

Hello all. Today I have a fun layout to share with you using the Ink Splats cut file. I created this layout awhile ago and just realized that I never shared it on the blog. I think it's because I added the red transparency sheet behind the layout and just forgot about it! I totally want to share this fun layout though... This layout was super fun to make. I simply cut the splats on white cardstock and used it as a template for my layout. Then I grabbed a brush and some paint and went to town.
Once the paint was dry, I used lots of chipboard, puffy stickers, stickers and stamps to complete my layout. :) What do you think? Isn't it fun. Makes me want to pull out my paint again.

Hello all. I've been playing with Bella Blvd. again. The "Whatever is Lovely" collection has some of my favorite colors and patterns! For one, I love yellow and teal. And another reason I love this collection is because it has butterflies, fun patterns and it's just really pretty. haha I used the "Lazy Daisies" from Just Nick Studio's shop. Love this digital cut file! The cut file comes in a variety of sizes so that you can layer them to achieve the look you want.
Supplies: Patterned Paper: Stickers: Enamel Dots: Bella Blvd., Acrylic Paint: Studio Calico, Digital cut files: Just Nick Studio, Other: Tag.
Also, I used a thin paint brush to highlight some of the words in yellow paint.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello everyone! I must admit, I haven't scrapped with this much pink in a long time. LOL. I wanted to create a "love" themed layout since Valentines Day is right around the corner. I love how the Mini Heart cut file really makes this layout pop. These little hearts cut smoothly too. I had no problems at all!
I used the Limited Edition XOXO Kit by Clique Kits for this layout. I also purchased the Crate Paper-Hello Love Epoxy stickers as an add-on.
Playing with Sketch Pens January 28, 2016 07:00
Hi everyone. This is my first post for Just Nick's blog and I am so excited to be here. I've owned a Portrait for two years now and I am hoping to use it more this year! I love how versatile the Silhouette Portrait is. There are so many things you can do with this cool little machine if you're willing to try new things.
When I found out that I made the team, I ordered two new mats and some sketch pens. I've been wanting to try the sketch pens for some time now, but thought it would be too complicated. Little did I know how simple these pens are to use. Really. All I had to do was pop the blade out, insert my sketch pen and tighten the grip. Then I just changed the setting to "sketch pen" and I was done. So easy.
I decided to play with the Rosette Background. I thought it would be perfect with this photo that my five year old took of me at the park just a few weeks ago.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope I was able to inspire you to give sketch pens a try!
