I tucked the Floral Burst Background cut file slightly behind my cluster of journaling cards.
I used the cut-apart banner flag to help pull my journaling together along with a die cut triangle and some chipboard shapes.
Thanks for visiting today!

Hello, everyone! Aurelie here with another layout using the fabulous JustNick cut files by the awesome Nicole Nowosad. We travelled home for the holidays this year, and knowing that I had to create this layout on the road without my Silhouette Cameo, I had to plan a bit ahead. With that in mind, I cut a bunch of different triangles on some random cardstock using the Open Triangles cut file (which has quickly become one of my go-to cut files!) and away we went on our merry, little way. Once the Christmas festivities were all done, I sat down with my cut triangles and started tracing them on different patterned papers. Out came my scissors and ta-da! Here is the outcome:
L-O-V-E how this layout turned out! And it's all about being grateful for the smallest and silliest of moments. And actually, that's one of my things for 2016 - taking the time to enjoy the simplest of moments with my husband, Mathieu. And not necessarily on a vacation in a remote location (which would be nice... Hee!Hee!), but in the everyday. Like in this picture - taken on Mathieu's cell phone just before we headed in to pick up our son at his after-school program. Being silly together for just two minutes. Love it!
On that note, head on over to the JustNick store right here and get ready to be inspired to jazz up your designs. Nicole's cut files are truly awesome and will work with any project your may have up your sleeve. Enjoy and happy scrapping!
Always Legos Layout September 30, 2015 07:00
Happy Wednesday Just Nick friends! It's Jaclyn joining you on the blog today. I was super excited to be on the schedule for 'Boys 2 Men' themed week. With two sons, I have plenty of rough and tumble pages to scrapbook.
It has been awhile since I made a page for my oldest son's album. Now that he's 10 the picture opportunities with him are fewer and farther between. Fortunately, I had managed to capture this recent picture of him with one of his latest lego creations. Since this is such a big part of him and what he enjoys, I knew it deserved to be highlighted in his scrapbook.
I used the Open Triangle cut file to fill the background of my page. I cut various sizes of the triangles out of white cardstock and used a combination of both the positive and negative cuts.
Filling the insides of the open triangles with varying patterned papers provides a fun way to add color and embellishment to the page.
Thanks for joining me on the blog today! Make sure you stop back by the blog the rest of the week to see what the other amazing designers have created for 'Boys 2 Men' week.
Always Summer August 21, 2015 07:00
I am holding on to summer for as long as I can. I don' t know about you, but I'm not ready for the colder weather of Fall and Winter. Guiseppa here and I am going to share with you a layout that keeps me holding onto summer.
Back in January my husband and I went on a cruise to the Caribbean. This beach happens to be on the island of Antigua. This small island has some of the most beautiful beaches. I had to keep pinching myself. It was so hard to believe that I was soaking up the sun and enjoying the beach and water in January. I wanted my layout to be bright and warm, just the way I felt in the sun. I went with a non traditional beach layout and used the Open Triangles and Word 3 cut files. Have a looksy!
I used the 'always' from the Word 3 cut file as part of my title because it's true...It's ALWAYS summer in the Caribbean.
Here are some close ups on the Open Triangles cut file I used. I love that I can use the outside and the inside of this file...giving me more options I even added some embellishments to them.
I am having so much fun creating with the JustNick cut files found in the JustNick Store. Go have a look for yourself. There are lots of unique cut files you won't find anywhere else. Thanks for stopping in and having a look at my layout. Until next time...HAPPY CUTTING!
