Thankful | Kelly Barron November 12, 2019 07:00

Hello everyone! It's Kelly and today I have a traveler's notebook spread to share with you using the new Thankful cut file.

For this spread I used Paige Evan's new collection Truly Grateful collection. To start, I cut out the file with white cardstock, and then backed each letter and heart with a different patterned paper.

I machine stitched around the border and lifted the edges up for a bit of dimension.

To balance out the many colors on the right side, I added a few flowers in the corner of my photo. I kept the embellishments to a minimum since the cut file is backed with multiple patterns and colors.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Be sure and check out the Just Nick  store to see all of the amazing cut files that have been added. I'm sure you can find something to spark your creativity. Have a great day!

Feels Like Fall | Monique Liedtke October 25, 2019 07:00

Hello JustNick friends! It's Monique here today sharing a Fall layout using the beautiful new "Leaf Circle Background" cut file and the Truly Grateful collection from Pink Paislee/Paige Evans, combined with a few sheets from her Horizon collection. This cut file is so perfect for a Fall layout, when I saw it, I just had to use it! Here's what I made:

And this is the "Leaf Circle Background" cut file I used:

I cut the leaf circle from the multicolored sheet (Horizon, paper 3) and love the result, with all the leaves in different colors! Just like Fall, right?!

Except for the "Leaf Circle Background" cut file I used two other cut files: the "Feels Like Fall" cut file:

and the "Fall Leaves" cut file:

Fall is my favorite season and every year I'm so happy when it finally arrives. It goes without saying that I love all the Fall cut files and all the Fall scrapbook collections! Here are a few close-ups of my page:

To every cluster of leaves in the circle I added a few more embellishments and also some extra leaves. Some of the leaves I cut with my Silhouette and some of them are from the ephemera package from the Truly Grateful collection. I love all the die-cuts, cardstock stickers and puffy Thickers belonging to the Paige Evans collections and used many of them on my page!

I machine stitched a few of the leaves but not all of them as I really like it when they curl up a little. It gives a bit more depth to the page.

I used two photos of my daughter, reading her book in the park. She's a huge fan of reading and always has one or two books with her, wherever she goes.

I hope I inspired you to scrap your Fall photos! So if you're looking for some fun Fall cut files as well you can find them in the JustNick store

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful weekend with lots of crafting!

Forever Loved | Vicki Parker September 13, 2019 07:00

Hi everyone, it's Vicki here today with my latest layout using the Today, Forever, Always cut file. I decided to focus on the word Forever and make it a big focal point on my page.
The cut file I used can be found in the store here:
I used various papers from the Paige Evans Truly Grateful collection to back each letter of the word as I wanted this page to be colourful and fun - as the letters are quite big, it was super easy to do and didn't take very long at all.
For the background, I used a Vicki Boutin stencil from her Wildflowers & Honey collection and some Distress Oxide inks in colours matching the Truly Grateful collection under each letter.
I used foam to back the word before sticking it over the stencilled area to give it some dimension. The photo tucked under the word at the top and I embellished with various die cuts and fussy cut flowers, leaves and butterflies. I also used some puffy stickers for the rest of the title and some dots around the page. Finally, some Pretty Little Studio clear stickers for the little x's and some mixed media effect.
I hope this inspires you to make a word your focal point on a layout - I definitely had fun making this. Until next time....
