JustNick Cut File Store

Happy 2016! December 31, 2015 07:00

This is a bit of a dual posting for me.

First I want to thank all my DT members this year for a blog FULL of inspiration!!! Some of our DT members are moving on, and so I want to say a big THANK YOU to each of them for their dedication and friendship this year! I hope we stay in touch.

Tomorrow we will announce our 2016 Design Team. We have so much good things in store for JustNick - I really hope you continue to visit for ideas and inspiration and a little shopping too :)

Today, I do have a project using a couple files from the store ! I wanted to do a bit of a recap project and here is what I came up with:

I used the Pebbles 2 Background layered over some white cardstock for the base of my page...you can just barely see the texture, but trust me - it is there!

Next, I added in a large title using the Outline Alphas cut file - it is really a simple design, but great for adding lots of colour to your project!

I added in a Circle Sentiment and some Ink Splats to finish off my page.

That's it for me today! Make sure you stop back in tomorrow for a list of our new DT

Happy New Year!

More CARD WEEK! October 7, 2015 07:00

I am excited to be back on the blog today for card week ! Although I usually use our cut files for layouts, I think they work amazing on cards too. It is so easy to resize the cut files to fit any size card you like to create a custom design.

I created this first card with the Pebble 2 background cut from a patterned paper and layered over another patterned paper. Using a 6x6 paper pad helps quickly co-ordinate the patterns so it's not too busy.

I also cut some doily like shapes from the Spirograph 3 cut file and layered them together behind my diecut thanks from Card Sentiments 1.

Next, I diecut the Pretty Patterned Background from some plain white cardstock and adhered it to a second piece of white cardstock for stability... then I went a little crazy with my watercolour paint set!

I added a smaller amount of watercolour paint to certain areas and more to others, to create an ombre like effect. I added some stamps from a Scrapbook and Cards Today Crop & Create Delivered kit from fall 2014. (which are AWESOME)

I love how you can completely customize a cut file to your own size, dimensions and even colour! See you tomorrow as I have a few more cards to share :)

Diana here again to share with you another layout.  I don't know about you but I think background cuts are my favorite kind of cuts.  For my layout today I used the Pebble 2 background cut from the JustNick store:

Here is my page:

I fell in love with this cut once I saw it--I knew how I was going to use it!  The cut reminded me of sand crystals on a beach and I knew I had some fantastic beach pictures from last year to scrap--serendipitous!  I want the cut to help embellish the layout without being to distracting, so I opted not to back it with other patterned paper:

I added touches of liquid glue to some of the connected circles to adhere it to my background paper.  I like that affect because it is glued to the background without being plastered, some of the edges lift up a bit to give some dimension.  I then just layered on top of it, with my photo, other pattern papers, and embellishments.

We would love to see your pages using JustNick cuts, please feel free to share them on our Facebook page or Instagram with #justnickstudio.
