Hi Everyone!!  I'm excited to be back to show you my progress on my Gratitude Bullet Journaling!  You can see my first post here.  Below, I have an update to show you the rest of the journaling I added to that first post.

This format of journaling has definitely been the easiest and most enjoyable way to jot down thoughts of thankfulness with a perfect mix of being creative.  I used most of the same cut files as I did for that first post, including the Leaf Grid Background.

Leaves 5

And Photo Tabs 1

I used the Leaf Grid Background using two shades of ink to blend a background on the left, adhered the Photo Tabs 1 and Leaves 5, then added stamping and journaling.  I then went back over the inside of the Leaf Grid Background with a Micron 005 black pen.

Love the added layer and dimension that creates, using the smaller point is just right too.

I stayed with the same color palette I used on my first page, so this keeps this simple but creative enough for me to accomplish for each week.  Compared to the first week, all I changed was using softer colors.

For the right side, the third week, I pulled in two new cut files.  The Photo Tabs 2.

And the new Grateful Heart, isn't it gorgeous!

I cut the Photo Tabs 2 in the same pattern paper, also repeating the soft color palette, and then stitched them in black thread on sewing machine. The black is repeating the black from my cut files.  I love the contrast of the black with the soft colors as well.

I know I will definitely continue adding a leaf from the Leaves 5 cut files.  I have that one left for the last week of November.  I added my week info at the bottom near the heart.

Before I added the cut file to this page, I used the negative piece from this heart to sponge some ink using a stencil, and also added some stamping within the negative heart piece, then applied my Grateful Heart cut file.

Love the look of the Photo tabs 2 adhered to the left side overlapping (would be great on a layout like this) I added the stamped Nov to the top tab.  And then along the top is where I stenciled my journaling lines and bullet acorns.  Will have to update this post with the finished four weeks.  Really so glad I gave this a try, so doable!  Hope you find this inspiring and doable for your bullet journaling or gratitude projects!

Gratitude Bullet Journaling | Patricia November 4, 2019 07:00

Hello Everyone!  I am posting on the blog today to share an idea for my gratitude journaling for the month of November in my Canvo Notebook.

I used a combination of JustNick Cut Files along with other stencils and stamps to get my journaling started.  I first used the TN Fall 2 negative from the leaf design to create my background.

I added more stenciling, and then stamping to my background to build layers.  For the focus, I used the Thankful Cut File and backed it with pattern paper and vellum for the hearts so there would be a little see-through.

Thankful

I created a layered, colorful start to my gratitude journal on the left side.  On the right, I will start journaling, but also love to create or extend the theme.  I used the Leaf Grid Background as a stencil in the center of my page, then added Photo Tabs 1 at the top.  I plan on using a Photo Tab and the Leaves 5 on each page.

I won't journal something everyday.  I like the idea of doing it weekly.  That way I don't create this as a mandatory to-do, but to reflect during the week and identify things to be thankful for:  big or small, really anything!

So my journal is off to a good start and I think it is doable, keeping it to a weekly gratitude journal rather than daily.  Using the cut files as is, as masks or stencils really helped create layers to my journal while keeping it relatively flat too.  I will be back later this month to show how I have progressed!
