Shaker Cards #2 | Maryám Pérez April 09, 2018 07:00
For the first card, I used some clouds of the set, I backed them with a clear acetate sheet and of course, I also added some sequins matching the colors of the collection. The sentiment of this cards is: "Make your dreams happen" and the embellishments are just a few butterflies.
For the second card, I used one of the hot air balloons and I did the same thing. The sentiment of my card is: "remember to smile" and I added some sticker flowers as embellishments.
Live Today - Cathy Martin August 11, 2017 07:00
Hi everyone! I can't believe we are almost halfway through August! Where oh where has the summer gone. Well I know for myself I am still going to be scrapping fun and bright layouts for just a little bit longer before I switch and start focusing on the awesomeness of autumn scrapping. With that in mind this week is circles week and we are focusing on cut files that are circular. This, for me, is seriously no problem, I LOVE all of Nicole's circular cut files!
For the layout I created I chose the Floral Ring 3 cut file, and I cut it out in a very primary, bright blue. Now here is where the challenge is because this colour of blue is not one that I would usually use, but I really wanted to give myself a bit of a challenge as well as get a chance to use up products that would match well with the blue that I chose!
After much hmming and hahing and not being able to make a decision on patterned paper I finally was able to back the cut file and choose a background paper that really went well together. I used products from Pinkfresh Studio and Pretty Little Studio to finish off the layout!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and don't forget to check out my process video to see how it all came together! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!
Love | Zsoka Marko July 19, 2017 07:00
Hi there Just Nick fans,
Zsoka back with you today with a new layout.
You probably don't know this about me because I mostly do boy pages, but I've been in love with flowers ever since I was a little girl. They make me happy. I love to touch them, smell them and yes, even talk to them. A while ago I decided I will not deny myself the joy of using floral patterns and flowers on my layouts just because I don't scrap girls. They cheer me up. And Nicole does the prettiest floral cut files, doesn't she?! So today again I chose a floral cut file which is quite new still. I think this is my absolute favourite one right now!
Isn't it just fabulous?!
I decided to blow it up a little and turn it around so it's at the top of my page. I picked the gorgeous Oh My Heart collection from Paige Evans. I love the purples in this collection! I chose a purple paper for my background, then backed the flowers with different patterned papers from this collection. I hand cut some leaf shapes from different purple papers, which I then layered on the cut file for a bit of extra dimension. I glued some foam adhesive under the cut file so I can tuck my picture under it.
At this point I had no idea what photo I want to use. It happens very often that I do the background and then I find a photo. Mostly one that is already printed so I don't feel like I'm wasting anything ha! But then I realized I actually have a color photo in which I'm wearing some purple floral leggings! So I went ahead and printed out that one. I think it fits perfectly.
For my title I picked the cute wood veneer word LOVE which I believe is from Ashley Horton's first collection, Oakley Avenue. I glued this on top of a circle scallop wood veneer from the Paige Evans Take Me Away collection.
Other than this I only added a suede bow, a chipboard, a puffy sticker, a few buttons and some enamel dots. Generally I add more embellishments but I felt like the page was finished at this point. I didn't even add paint splatters which I do on most of my layouts!
I hope I could inspire you in one way or another! Thank you for stopping by today!
Art is a Treasure April 04, 2017 08:26
Hey hey everybody, it's Cathy!!! I'm back with another layout to help get your mojo going using Nicole's amazing cutfiles! So this time around I wanted to do something a little bit more subdued and soft, while still being masculine. I also wanted to cut my file using patterned paper since I've been doing a lot of cut files with white cardstock. I cut out the Scribble Circles background file on a sweet mint and white striped patterned paper. I then backed some of the circles with patterned paper and some I left open. I used some ephemera from Pretty Little Studio too, which matched perfectly with the colours I was working with! I love adding vintage touches to a more modern and minimal design. I really kept the patterns to a minimum and left lots of white space! Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!
Me & You March 15, 2017 07:00
Hello! Donna here for my first layout the month of March.
I used the cut file Posie Swag on my layout
I deconstructed the cut file again. You will notice I do this a lot of times! For this particular design, I envisioned flowers/vines kind of hanging either at the top or the edges of the layout.
I played around for a bit and decided to place the cut files as seen in the image
I wanted to make them appear like they're floating so I thought that keeping it white, as is, would work. Adding colors to the cut file was the last thing I did. Well, sort of second to the last thing, because the very last step to my process was slightly brushing pale peach watercolor to the edges of the white background to add a bit of interest aka make it a bit messy lol!
I was aiming for a peachy color for the flowers but I couldn't achieve the right shade. I still like how it turned out.
I used Pretty Little Studio's Woodland collection.
I hope you liked my page!

Hooray March 13, 2017 07:00Happy Monday friends! I have a fun layout to share with you today, using Heather's Summer Vibes collection. I must say, I am officially out of this collection. I've used most of my stash so I'll need to buy some more because this is one of my favorite collections by Pretty Little Studio.
For this layout, I decided to use journaling cards for my background. I used Just Nick Studio's Doodle Daisy Background digital cut file for the bottom of the layout.
I love using sketch pens on my layout. It's so easy to do and totally fun! I used the cut-apart tags for my journaling. And to help pull the layout together, I used the flower die cut with a few buttons from Jillibean Soup. Since the buttons were initially a brown color, I used chalk ink to change the color!I added the yellow Rub-on from my stash to the journaling card to make it pop. LOVE how it looks. You can hardly tell it's a rub-on.

Hello everyone. Nicole here with a fun winter layout! I was inspired by the trees and cards in this photo so I used different pieces of journaling cards and patterns. I love the little tree pattern! This layout was so much fun to make. I used my red Nuvo to make the doodled frame.
For the holiday sentiments, I used my Silhouette sketch pens to sketch Just Nick Studio's holiday sentiments on my layout in light blue. I wanted it to be subtle.

I'm so happy to be joining you on the blog and bringing to a close our fabulous team up with Pretty Little Studio! Don't you think our cut files and their gorgeous product go so well together? Both design teams have done such a great job and I've highly enjoyed sharing them with you on Instagram. I'm excited to also be able to share a couple of cards I created using a few cut files and the beautiful Here Comes the Sun collection.
Yay for hot air balloons! I kept this card pretty simple. The clouds paper worked perfectly to create a scene with the hot air balloons. Each balloon is simply backed with some patterned paper. No fancy embellishing or techniques. I wanted it to be easy, simple and reproducible.
The flair and star stickers help ground the design and give it just a little bit extra to help complete the card.
Here is my second card that uses a background cut file and a phrase from one of the card sentiments cut file collections.
Again, I kept it pretty simple. The sentiment I used black watercolor to not only make the word pop but to also keep with the continuity of the style of this collection. It's all handdrawn and has a watercolor element to it. So soft and pretty! Washy tape helped to add that final touch it seemed to be missing.
Thanks for swinging by today and I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the beautiful Pretty Little Studio product!
Here is a list of the cut files I used:

Hi Just Nick fans!
I was lucky enough to get some of Ashley Horton's new Fall collection called 'Oakley Avenue' and have used this collection on my layout!
I adore this photo of my parents and my siblings and myself! It was taken on my sister's 30th birthday a few years ago!
I used the Totally Tubular background for my layout today...I cut it from white cardstock and machine stitched around all the circles for added texture...
You can watch my process video below to see how I put my layout together...
The Oakley Avenue collection went perfectly with the colours in my photo...this collection is perfect for Fall, Family, Gratitude themed pages and cards too!
Angel/Pretty Little Studio Team Up October 12, 2016 07:00
Hello! It's Lee-Anne here and I am excited that Just Nick is teaming up with the design team at Pretty Little Studio. Oh how I love Just Nick's cut files and of course the pretty products from Pretty Little Studio.
For my project, I decided to work with the Here Comes The Sun Collection. The pinks, blues and yellows spoke to me. I love the softness of this collection and thought I wanted to have lots of texture to my layout and add soft colors around the photo of this sweet little girl.
For my layout, I cut the Basketweave Background on a 12 X 12 sheet of white card stock with my Silhouette Cameo and backed it on another 12 X 12 sheet of white card stock. For the flowers, I cut several flowers in various sizes from the Doodle Flowers 2 on white adhesive card stock, kept them on the mat and watercolored the outside petals, let them dry, and then backed them with some patterned papers.
Love the soft colors, all the ephemera and of course the flair!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
Love you | Pretty Little Studio Team Up October 11, 2016 07:00
Hi cut files fans -
Laureen here with you today for something VERY fun!
The Just Nick team is having a fun team- up with the amazing team from Pretty Little Studios!
I decided to splurge on the gorgeous HANDDRAWN collection "Here comes the Sun" by my sweet friend Marie ;)
As soon as I got my hands on the collection and ripped open the die- cuts I asked Nicole for a Hot Air Balloon cut file and she came up with the gorgeous Up in the Air file that I defintely had to use for my page!
Now I ordered enough product to create at least 15 more layouts, so you better prepare yourself for sunshiney layouts in the winter ;)
I used one of the ballons, enlarged it and placed Patterned Paper behind it and popped it all up on some foam squares. My background is blended with Distress Inks and them I just added some die- cuts here and there and this page came together super quick!
Here are some close- ups for you.
That's it for todays post - I'll be back at the end of the month with a few projects off the page ;) See you then and have a great week full of amazing inspiration!

Remember Together | Pretty Little Studio October 08, 2016 07:00
Hi everyone, Michelle here with a new layout featuring the gorgeous products from Pretty Little Studio in combination with the amazing Just Nick cut files of course!
My layout features lots of the 'Here Comes The Sun' collection as I just loved the whimsical nature of the die cuts and the pretty patterned papers. The papers on my layout all came from the Up in the Air 6"x6" paper pack which was just perfect to add behind the cut files on my layout. I was inspired to use a piece of soft yellow cardstock and I cut out the Heart Explosion Background and added a piece of the Colorful Dots patterned paper behind the large heart. I then added lots of layers of the different die cuts and labels around my photos from the collection. To give my layout a bit more interest I added some scallops from the Simple Scallop Strips cut file that I cut out in white cardstock in layers under my photo and also added a strip at the bottom of my layout that I filled with more of the patterned papers.
Some close ups:
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and I hope you are enjoying our collaboration with Pretty Little Studio.
Away We Go October 07, 2016 07:00
Hi everyone. Heather Leopard is here today with another collab with Pretty Little Studio. I absolutely adore the Here Comes the Sun collection so I couldn't wait to play with it and the JustNick Studio Up in the Air cut file.
To create this layout, I supersized one of the hot air balloons. It's much taller than the 12" height so I cut it at a diagonal to keep it as one piece.
I kept the pieces that were cut and used them as guides to cut the pattern paper. Then I glued it to the back of the large hot air balloon.
Once each section was filled in, I adhered it to a 2nd piece of cardstock, added the photo, embellishments and title. Now I just have to journal and how it to my girls for their stamp of approval.
Fall Adventure with Pretty Little Studio October 06, 2016 08:08
Hello everyone! I am so excited about the team up this week with Pretty Little Studio! I have used mostly the "Woodland" collection from the PLS store, with a few things from the "Here and There" collection, too.
Because I was going for a fall-like theme, I used a few different cut files on my page:
I cut out some stems and leaves and layered them behind and on top of my photo:
I used a piece of the colored vellum on top of a woodgrain print paper at the top, and used arrow stickers along the edge to emphasize the shape.
The acorns I inked a little bit with brown ink to make the tops a bit darker.
Lots of layers of leaves and stems with some orange fussy cut flowers for some more color:
On the bottom, I cut out some of the label tags and layered a phrase on top, and left some open for journaling.
Thanks for joining us for our PLS team up! Hope you enjoy all the inspiration this week and check out all the NEW releases coming to PLS and JustNick, too!
Fly High October 01, 2016 07:00
Hello everyone! Donna here today to share a page I created using Just Nick Studio cut file and Pretty Little Studio "Here comes the sun collection".
I can't believe it's already October. It means my daughter is turning 2 in just a few weeks! Time flies really fast when you're having fun and busy with a very active toddler, lol!
Now onto my layout.
I used the Henna cut file.
Originally, it is one piece. But I wanted to place/spread them like you see in my layout. I just tucked each piece over each other
I thought of adding color to it but decided later on I wanted to keep it plain white. The 8x8 vellum paper is already quite bright IMO so, plain white it is.
I used die cuts and stickers to embellish the page. Last minute decision to add pink watercolor border to the edges. Used foam dots to raise some of the die cuts to add a bit of dimension. I also used one of the packaging's backing paper (or whatever it is called) here. It's the one with pink polka dots. I love that you can recycle the packaging like that. It's too pretty to throw away.
I hope you liked my page! Be sure to come back tomorrow for the Just Nick Studio-Pretty Little Studio team up!
Cut file used: Henna
Thanks for dropping by!
Dream March 03, 2016 07:00
Hello all. This month, we have partnered up with Becky Fleck. I've been a big fan of Becky's sketches from Page Maps for years and so when I received an email with the sketch that I would be using, I was so excited. I really love the design of this sketch. There are so many possibilities. At first, I was going to turn the sketch side ways to try it that way, but after thinking on it, I grabbed my scraps from the February Clique Kit and just started applying papers, stickers and pictures and my scallop cut file to make it work. I really like how this turned out. I think that the Kraft cardstock really makes this layout pop with the kraft sticker flower.
Thank you for stopping by today!
