JustNick Cut File Store

So Much Fun | Niki Rowland July 03, 2017 07:00

Hey there, Just Nick fans! Niki here with my first layout made for Just Nick and I'm so happy to be on the team!
So I've used the Scribble Circle Spots cut file that's new to the store and I cut it so it would fill almost half of my page. I cut it from white cardstock.
I've added lots of colour using inks and the packaging technique to my background and have then placed the Scribble Circle Spots cut file on top, raised up on foam pads.
I then had fun adding my photo and lots of embellishments and finished off with some handwritten journaling and some pretty washi tape.
I have prepared a process video to watch - I hope you enjoy it x
Here are a few close up shots of the detail - I've used lots of stickers from the collection kit I was using, as well as chipboard word stickers, enamel dots (lots!), sequins and some fun acetate speech bubbles
Thank you so much for stopping by to see my layout and my video, I hope you enjoy what I've created and that you get colourful too!

Made In The USA | Marcia Dehn-Nix June 02, 2017 07:00

Hello JustNick Studio friends, Marcia here today. All this week JustNick designers have been showcasing layouts using PageMaps sketches created by the wonderful Becky Fleck. Here is the sketch she gave me...

It's awesome, right!

There is a lot going on in the sketch, so I decided to use the left side of the sketch for my background cut file. I recently returned from a vacation in South Carolina and had lots of pictures from Patriots Point, so I opted to do a patriotic layout. It seemed fitting with Memorial Day just this past Monday. My guys really enjoyed visiting the USS Yorktown. I think they could have stayed there for hours.  I stuck pretty close to the PageMaps sketch. I did use a larger focal photo in the middle. Here is my layout...

I used a cut file called Ride the Wave. I resized it to fit on the left half of my layout. It reminds me of the American flag waving in the wind. My intent was to leave it red and white, but then decided to add some blue in the negative space. Some machine stitching reinforces the wave design.

Here is the cut file I used today...

If you are interested in my process video, here it is ...

Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to check out the other sketches from this past week and their coordinating layouts.

Dream Today - iNSD 2017 May 06, 2017 07:00

Hello hello hello!!! It's Cathy here and I'm so excited to be participating in the celebrations here on the JustNick Blog!  We will have several different designers posting through the day and there will be a free cut file to go along with the posts!  Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the page to get your code :)

So for my layout I actually used 3 different cut files!  I used the Dreamcatcher 1 cut file, the Feathers 2 cut file, and the Sweater Weather cut file.  I decided to finally get in on the dreamcatcher fad, you know, considering that it's almost over!  Well let me tell you, this turned out even better than I expected, and although I had to be patient when it came to cutting out the feathers and gluing everything down, the actual design came together super quick!  Don't forget to pop over to my YouTube channel to see my process video!

I did a little mixed media behind my dreamcatcher before I glued it down, and I love the addition of the white feathers with my patterned paper feathers.  It really brought a level of dreamy whimsy that I had wanted in my layout!  If you haven't tried a dreamcatcher yet then I suggest you grab yourself the feather and dreamcatcher cut file and get to work, you won't be disappointed!

You can grab the Dreamcatcher 1 cut file for FREE using the code: DREAM2FREE at checkout now until May 7, 2017 only!

NSD You Tube Hop- "Explore" with a process video May 07, 2016 08:36

Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to share a page with you today AND a process video to go with it!

I used the beautiful "Dreamcatcher 1" cut file from the shop:

I thought it looked like a compass rose, so I used it on a page about a little exploration adventure my kiddos had!

If you'd like to see how this page was created, Including how I used Silhouette Studio, watch the process video below!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!
