JustNick Cut File Store

Love This Christmas | Rachel Lowe December 19, 2018 07:00

Hello Justnick friends! With only 6 days until Christmas its all getting very busy but I find having some down time to scrap is just what I need to have a breather.

Today I have a layout all about winter (which is funny as it is summer here in Australia). I have used two cut files on this layout.

Once I had cut the Rustic Floral Frame 2 I added some glitter paste to the leaves and when dry I bent them upwards to create a 3D effect.

I then set about embellishing the rustic frame adding gorgeous woodland animals (which I adhered with foam tape to add height) and sentiment stickers.

I had to add these gorgeous tiny pom poms which added to the 'winter' effect.

I cut my title 'love this' from the word 3 cut files, choosing a light wood grain paper again keep the theme of winter.

I matted my photo in a coordinating green paper  with foam tape and added some chipboard phrase sentiments under it.

I added a splatter of light teal colour shine and finished off adding tiny puffy stickers stars and snow flakes in various sizes. I have used Crate Paper Coco and Snow collection.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful and safe Christmas spent with family and friends. Don't forget to take lots of photos to keep and scrap.

Thank you for stopping by and see you next year!

Love Story | Marcia Dehn-Nix November 12, 2018 07:00

Hello JustNick Studio friends!

Marcia here today. This week on the blog we are posting projects with the theme Thankful. I know with Thanksgiving approaching we are thinking about all the things we are thankful for; family, jobs, health ...  My hubby just had surgery recently to repair a hernia (nothing too serious). I am thankful that I have had this wonderful man by my side for 35 years so I decided to scrap one of our wedding photos. (Don't laugh too much about my 80's hair and hat. lol. I converted the photo to black and white so you can't tell that his tux is baby blue)

I used the new Rustic Floral Frame 2 and cut it out in a metallic gold to frame my photo. Then I added two of the new Rose Clusters backed with pretty pink pattern papers.

To add some depth, I used the Stems 2 digital cut file as a stencil behind the rose clusters as well as under some fussy cut flowers.

Here are the digital cut files I used this week...

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Did I get you thinking about what you are thankful for?
