Starburst Layout! | Morgan Langley January 23, 2018 07:00

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a fun layout I created using the "starburst" cut file and a sparkler picture I had from New Years!

I turned the cut file vertical and backed it with papers from Pink Pasilee's "Turn the Page". It was easiest to use the white stars that the cameo cut out as templates for backing, cutting them a little larger and then gluing them behind. I added ephemera from the collection, splatter paints, sequins, and fussy cut stars from the 12x12 pad and the 6x6 pad.

I love these positive speech bubbles from the 6x6 pad and thought they went perfect for this New Year's spread!

Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure to check out this fun cut file on the Just Nick Studios page! Follow me on instagram @morewithmorganl for more layouts!

Shaker Cards | Maryám Pérez January 22, 2018 07:00

Hello Friends! Maryám here with you to share two shaker cards that I created using Bamboo Background and Lazy Daisies.

For today's cards, I'm using the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Bohemian Dream collection. I had the perfect sequins to match the collection so that's why I decided to use it.

For the first card, I used the Bamboo background. I modified it a little bit because I needed to fit it in a 4,75 x 5" cardstock. Once I have it cut, I backed it with an acetate sheet and then I added some foam dots and of course a bunch of sequins too.

For the second card, I used the Lazy Daisies set. I picked one flower and then I put it three times into the piece of white cardstock. Once I had them cut, I did the same as the first card but using other colors of sequins and embellishments.

Here is another close-up of both cards.

I hope you liked these cards I shared today. Let me know if you have any questions. And don't forget to check out the shop for more beautiful cut files.

Have a wonderful week!

Snow Day | Maryám Pérez December 31, 2017 07:00

Hello Everyone! Today is the last day of the year and I'm so happy to back sharing a new layout using the wonderful JustNick Cut files.

For today's project, I'm using the Snowflakes Cut File Set. This time I was inspired by one of the layouts from Paige Evans where she created a big snowflake with sequins. I took that idea and I created my own layout using sequins and a cut file.

I made 3 snowflakes. The first thing I did was cut the snowflakes using my Silhouette Cameo, after that, I adhered all of my sequins following the design of the snowflake. Once I have that part done, I decided to add some stitching so I used the little holes in the sequins as a guide and I stitched through them.

Here is my layout:

I hope you liked this project. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be really happy to answer them.
I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Thankful for You Layout and card by Rachel Lowe: November 22, 2017 07:00

I love owls and this owl cut file is just so cute! I have used Bella BLVD Mind Your Manners collection to create my layout. I cut my owl with white card stock and then ungrouped the owl and used patterned paper to fill my owl. To finish it off I have machine sewn the wings.

I then chose the Card Sentiments 3 for my title and a card I knew I wanted to also make.

I decided to make a shaker pocket using vellum on the lower half of my layout. They are simple to make, cut your vellum paper the same size as your background paper, sew around the three edges leaving the top open. Add your sequins or similar (I have also add some small cork hearts) and then sew up the top.

I then added a bright coloured patterned paper piece to the top of my layout ensuring it covers the top of the vellum. I added a scallop border also between the pattern paper and vellum. I then attached my owl with foam tape. I then tucked my photo slightly under the owl. I have used the Thankful card sentiment enlarging.

I have added some typed journalling and finished my layout off adding a die cut owl and word sticker bottom right of the layout.

Now its time to shake!!!!!!!

I have used the exact same process to make my card just on a smaller scale. I have used the Grateful card sentiment and added inside my card. I used brighter coloured sequins on my card and added a die cut flower inside. My sequins are from Speigelmom Scraps and they are just gorgeous.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a wonderful scrappy week!

Colorful Watercolor Polygon! | Morgan Langley November 16, 2017 07:00

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a colorful layout I created using the "Shattered Polygon" cut file! This cut file can be used in so many different ways so it is perfect!
I cut the file from a piece of paper from the "Oh my Heart" Pink Paislee collection and backed it onto a piece of white card stock. Then I used the negatives from the file and cut pieces of paper paper to fill in the polygon.
I wanted to make my background to be fun, so I extended some of the sections into the background by choosing a coordinating color and water coloring an extension of that section going off the page. Once it dried, I went in with that same color and did some splatters for added texture. On the sections I didn't water color in, I added splatters with the coordinating color.
To add even more texture I used some light blue vellum, cut three of the different shapes inside the cut file, added in seed beads and sequins, and then sewed it onto the layout.
I also added some stamping onto different sections of the polygon. I did some different fonts of ampersands, little V's for Violet's name, numbers, and some flowers.
I love how this layout turned out and how colorful it is! Make sure to follow Just Nick and myself @morewithmorganl on Instagram for more crafty posts! Thank you for stopping by!
