Starburst Layout! | Morgan Langley January 23, 2018 07:00

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a fun layout I created using the "starburst" cut file and a sparkler picture I had from New Years!

I turned the cut file vertical and backed it with papers from Pink Pasilee's "Turn the Page". It was easiest to use the white stars that the cameo cut out as templates for backing, cutting them a little larger and then gluing them behind. I added ephemera from the collection, splatter paints, sequins, and fussy cut stars from the 12x12 pad and the 6x6 pad.

I love these positive speech bubbles from the 6x6 pad and thought they went perfect for this New Year's spread!

Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure to check out this fun cut file on the Just Nick Studios page! Follow me on instagram @morewithmorganl for more layouts!

One Year Later October 20, 2015 07:00

Hi everyone,

This week we are sharing projects using FOUR cut files! I loved this challenge. I loved going through all the beautiful designs when choosing what would work best for my layout. I also kept in mind that a cut file doesn't have to remain in it's original state. :) You'll see what I mean in a minute. But, first, let me share with you my page:

If you have followed me at all here, it should be no surprise that background cut files are my favorite. I absolutely love using them to showcase lots of color and pattern. It really does help with adding other embellishments because there isn't much else that needs to be done!

I also used a scallop border cut file but, I trimmed it down to fit over and ground the clipboard for my journaling.

I used two different texts. Well, one is text and the other is an alpha set cut file. LOVE the alpha! So fun and unique.

Design wise, I tried something with layering my title over the text 'captured'. It worked! I really like how it turned out and you can still read the words but, not be overwhelmed.

I say, the more cut files the better! Layer them on! Trim and re-purpose! Have fun! Now, go grab some cut files and challenge yourself to using 4! Or 5... or 6...

Cut files used: Starburst Background 1, Borders 1, Capture This, Handcut Letters
