JustNick Cut File Store

I sometimes struggle when creating layouts of my oldest son. I don't want to make his pages too theme-y or cutesy and luckily Just Nick has cut files to fit just about any need or style.
My boy is a HUGE basketball fan, so for his 11th birthday we surprised him with preseason tickets to see a Clevland Cavaliers game. I had lots of pictures and journaling from this special memory but still wanted to make sure I had room for the fun stuff on the page.
I chose a couple of cut files with circles as a theme. I knew this would be a fun way to reinforce the basketball idea, in a way that was both subtle but fun and effective.
I sized the Totally Tubular Background to around 6 inches square and cut it out two times from gray cardstock. To kick the cut file up a notch, I selected a couple of designs from the 2016 file and sized them to fit within some of the circles on my background piece.
I didn't do any fancy welding or cutting within my silhouette software to mesh the two designs. I simply sized them accordingly, cut them out separately and layered the designed circles atop of the matching background circle. Using the same color cardstock tricks your eye and makes the whole design appear as if it is just one piece.
We'd loved to see how you are designing with and combining your Just Nick files. We hope you'll share with us on social media, using the #justnickstudio hashtag!

Hello Good times | Laureen Wagener May 22, 2017 07:00
Hi friends -
it's Laureen up on the blog. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and maybe even got some crafting done?
I did - I finished up todays layout and am loving the summery vibe it gives!
I pulled out the awesome Poolside collection from Crate Paper - still one of my favorites ever!
I wanted to get a bubbly effect, because it kind of reminds me of water and bubbles and lightness and the beach and summer and all that good stuff - so I used the Totally Tubular Cut file along with the leaves and flowers from the new Take me to paradise set.
I simply cut the Totally Tubular Background out of white cardstock, backed it with a few papers from the collection and started layering up my pieces together.
The leaves and flowers were cut from white cardstock and then colored with watercolors to match the collection.
After all - this page came together so quick! Cut files just make it easy to create with - they are so fun to use!
I hope I inspired you a little and will catch you next month ;)

Hi Just Nick fans!
I was lucky enough to get some of Ashley Horton's new Fall collection called 'Oakley Avenue' and have used this collection on my layout!
I adore this photo of my parents and my siblings and myself! It was taken on my sister's 30th birthday a few years ago!
I used the Totally Tubular background for my layout today...I cut it from white cardstock and machine stitched around all the circles for added texture...
You can watch my process video below to see how I put my layout together...
The Oakley Avenue collection went perfectly with the colours in my photo...this collection is perfect for Fall, Family, Gratitude themed pages and cards too!

Hello! It's Jaclyn joining you for the fourth day of the PinkFresh team up!
I paired some recent beach photos, that I snapped on Spring Break, with the Pink Fresh Life Noted collection and two complimentary Just Nick cut files.
The result is this fun and bright page, with lots of text and loads of personality!
I started with the Totally Tubular cut file, sizing it to approximately 7.75"x7.5", to fill a good portion of my page background. I then pulled in three of the sentiments from the Live Love file, to fill in a scattering of the circles.
The bold blocky font from the Live Love cut file, looks great when backed with various Pink Fresh patterned papers.
I filled in and backed some of the remaining open circle cuts, with the Pink Fresh gold foiled chipboard and pieces from the 3x4" printed cards. The colorful rubber charms and a scattering of sequins were the perfect finishing touch for my design.
Pink Fresh's die cut acetate words make for a quick and cute title. I love that they can be overlapped for a fun, layered look. In addition, I was even able to attach them and layer them with a Life Noted washi tape sticker.
