Hello JustNick Studio friends!

It's Monique Liedtke here today and I'm so happy I get to share my very first DT project with you! I've loved Nicole's digital cut files forever and am so excited to be part of the JustNick team for the next year!

For this week the team was asked to create a layout about themselves and so that's what I did. I wrote some fun facts about me in the journaling on my layout and here's what it says:
This is ME: mum, wife, daughter & friend, working at Betula/CMP as Office Manager/Secr/Training Admin. Loving: my kids, husband, dad & sis, Cocker Spaniels, reading English romance/detectives/fiction, scrapbooking (Doodlebug!), aqua jogging, walking, cycling, line dancing, lattes, buying books & hand bags and scarfs, I love Netflix, going to the cinema and watching English detectives with my hubby. I love travelling to England/Scotland/Ireland & America and of course to Cardet in the south of France. I love country music & Lady Antebellum, Outlander, my Kindle Fire and iPhone & my blue/pink bike, pink planners, sweets & cookies, and a waterbed. I love flowers like tulips, peonies, sunflowers, I love autumn & winter and the colours red and orange and I love wearing jeans & sweaters. I have my car & motorcycle license.
As you can see in my journaling, I love tulips! I love that they come in so many colors and shapes and I can't be happier when I have vases full of tulips around the house! So, when I saw the "Tulips in the Field" cut file I knew straight away which cut file I wanted to use!
I totally adore this cut file. I love that I can back all the flowers with lots of different pieces of patterned paper and make them super colorful! For my page I "stretched" the cut file just a little so the flowers are a bit "longer" and now cover my 12"x12" background more. The cut file originally looks like this:
Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut the tulips cut file from a multi-colored sheet of patterned paper and then backed it with even more patterned papers, using the "Summer Vibes" collection from Simple Stories.
Here are a few close-ups:
On top of every tulip I also attached an enamel dot and a few (word) stickers or diecuts.
I used my sewing machine to add a bit of fun stitching to all the stalks of the flowers.
You probably can't see it but in the photo I'm standing in a field of tulips!
This is it, my first DT layout for JustNick. Hope you like it! Wishing you happy crafting and please stop by again tomorrow for more inspiring projects!
