Travellers Notebook - 2018 by Rachel Lowe: January 06, 2018 07:00

Happy 2018 to you all!

January always inspires me to plan, create goals and dream a little about how I would like my year to unfold!

So today I have a Travellers Notebook spread for you focusing on my 2018!

I have used Dear Lizzy Star Gazer collection.

I have used four cut files over these three pages.

I used the Banner Essentials to cut my numbers to create 2018. I wanted to use a patterned paper that co ordinated with my other papers on the first page, so cut file numbers are always a must have in my library.

I cut from white card stock my first page and typed my first piece if journaling. I created a corner pocket so I could tuck a journal card in . I have machine sewn before attaching to the TN page. Later I will journal my 2018 goals but in my handwriting (which is important I feel in the years to come). I embellished the journal card and page. I love the quote Be You!

I wanted to frame my photo to it didn't get lost on the patterned paper so I used the Ring Around My Heart cut file, sizing it to work with my photo. I also used foam tape to attach it over my photo. My photo is symbolic as in the doors and me being able to choose which doors I walk through and which doors I close.

To add interest to my second TN page I created a notebook page and tore the bottom and added some of the blue to tie it all together colour wise. I foam taped a sticker from the collection and again chose one that tied in with my theme.

On my third page I minimised the wonderful Floral Corner cut file to create a feature. My tribe did a bit hard in 2017 for various reasons and hence why I chose 'this will be our year' from the New Year Words cut file. Again I have added some machine sewing to add texture and kept my embellishments to a minimum so my page did not become too busy.

Here are some close up photos for you!

I love how you can use multiple cut files on TN pages, they add so much interest in a unique way.

Thank you for stopping by today and I do hope 2018 brings you lots of time and space to create xxx
