You Are So Beautiful to Me | Majken Pullin October 4, 2018 07:00
Hello JustNick fans! Majken here with you -- Happy Thursday! Today I'm sharing a layout of my beautiful grandmother when she was a baby. She was absolutely precious! We were very close, so when I came across this photo again recently, I knew I had to scrapbook it. I used the In Bloom and Delicate Butterflies cut files for my project.
I just love the delicate floral and butterflies cut files with this vintage photo of her. <3
I backed the In Bloom cut files with patterned paper with soft colors, and the leaves with the bluish green paper. And I inserted a few of the floral ephemera pieces with the cut files.
I sewed a few circles in the flower centers.
With the butterflies, I sewed along the centers to show a bit of movement. And I added similar ephemera for contrast.
I used the three cut files (two from In Bloom and one Delicate Florals) to create a visual triangle on the page, and I added a tulle flower - my grandmother was a ballerina, and I loved the touch that the material added to my layout.
I hope this inspires you to use delicate cut files with the right vintage photos!
Have a great weekend.
